Scrapbooking Weekend Gifts
Happy Monday to you........Today I want to share the gifts I made Nancy for our July Phoenix Scrapbooking Retreat. A little history about retreats I've planned in the past - I always take charge of bringing gifts for all the ladies. Nancy and my retreat was not going to be any different.
First up I made Nancy a ribbon book mark. I started with a 15" piece of Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grossgrain Ribbon and cut a large flower from my Cricut Machine. I then layered scallop circles and stamped flowers which were cut out to the top and added a chocolate chip daisy brad to secure the entire package together. At the end of the ribbon I added a metal feligree and knotted the end to secure that to the ribbon.
To dress up the bottle of water I added a cute little hanger and added a scallop circle with a great little stamped flower in the center.
The main gift I made for Nancy is a chocolate chip purse that has a fun little handle and had four scallop circle cards with matching envelopes.
And my final gift was a post-it-note clip board. I covered chip board pieces with chocolate chip DSP and then added a bull clip which I covered with the same DSP and added ribbon to dress it all up. I just couldn't resist adding this FUN note to Nancy on the front of her post-it-note holder.

My July CraftNooners Card
Today I will be sharing the card I made for my CraftNooners Group for July. Our color challenge was Magenta and Old Olive ...... and our technique was a different folded card. Here's what I created..........
I met the color challenge without any problems......and my folded technique was a folded over -flip up and pull back......take a look:
Here is my card with the flaps starting to flap open..........
Here's a close-up on how the center flap releases and flips up to begin the unfolding process.
After the flap is released it begins to expose the center of the card.
And here is the card completed unfolded. This last flap folds up and the entire center of the card is exposed.
This challenge was FUN and most interesting to create for my CraftNooner Friends. I just can't wait to receive the cards that my friends make for this challenge.
Please stop back tomorrow and I'll have some fun creation to share with you. Until tomorrow - Keep Living Your Dream!

June CraftNooners Cards
As promised, today I will be sharing the cards that my fellow CraftNooners designed for June. The challenge was to make a card using the colors Grey and Yellow and the technique was to use something from the hardware store.......so let's go.......
Here is Jan's card - How beautiful is this card? She used paint chips - counter top samples for her Tag and a washer for the center of her flower......Fabulous Job Jan......I think you are the Hardware Store Queen.
Next is Opal's card - she totally met the color challenge and used cork from the hardware store as her find. She used her yellow marker to color the cork in to look like lemons....HOW clever is that? Great job Opal!
Here's a close-up of the lemons on the tree.
And Berta used a wire mesh for her hardware store find - Have to say that I fell in LOVE with this card and all the texture that came along with her card. Truly a work of art.
I am truly blessed to be connected with these three very talented ladies. They do amazing work and to receive one of their cards is an honor.
Hope you are having a FUN weekend and you can return tomorrow for some more Kards by Kadie creations. Keep Living Your Dream!

CraftNooners Card for June
My CraftNooners Group (Hi Berta, Opal and Jan) get together and do a card in the box once a month - with summer in full swing two of the members leave and won't return till the end of fall. We decided to do a color challenge and special technique and mail each other our cards. FUN. So....each month till their return I will share our card challenge and not only what I did, but also what each of them did with the challenge. Here we go.....Our June Challenge was to create something using the colors Grey and Yellow and the Optional technique was to use something from the hardware store (which WAS going to be chanellege for me as my least favorite place to go is a hardware store).
So here we go....I had NO TROUBLE meeting the color challenge. I did however have some trouble doing the hardware store find...... so what I did was pick up some Martha Stewart paint chip samples and used the SU Medium Jewelry Tag Punch to punch a mini tag that was then attached to my flower with some SU hemp.
Here's my card in all it's glory........I used the new SU Fancy Flower Extra-Large punch and layered it with the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large punch. Adding a clear bitty button to the center helped to create a FUN focal point for this card.
I punched out the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack and added a drop of stickles to the center of each flower. I also used the Modern Label Punch and the Word Window Punch and created my "I miss you" message for the front of this card.
Here's a close-up of the Tag I punched out with the Medium Jewelry Tag punch and then added a small flower rub-on to the center.
Here's another close-up of the Itty Bitty Flower punches which were layered in both corners of my card.
The whole idea behind our challenge is to not only challenge us with colors but also techniques....Have to say....this challenge did it.
I'll be back tomorrow to share what my fellow CraftNooners did with this challenge and assure you......You will be surprised when you see what they made. Until tomorrow.....Keep Living Your Dream.
