Happy Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day - a day to commemorate U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. We have set aside this one day of the year for our nation to get together to remember, reflect and honor those who have given their all in service to their country. The "National Moment of Remembrance" resolution was passed on December 2000 - which ask that at 3pm, all Americans take a moment and pause from whatever you are doing for a moment of silence. Please participate along with me in taking this moment of silence and honoring those who have and continue to serve in the military. It is my honor to live in the United States of America. Now, I want to share with you a FUN little surprise that I gave to my SaddleBrooke girlfriend on May 1st - MAY DAY. I made these FUN little May Day Baskets and set out early in the morning to hang them on each of my girlfriends mailboxes. Here is what the box looked like as I was heading out the door to deliver all 12 of them.......
I used the SU Baskets and Blooms Big Shot Die and filled the felt baskets full of candy and flowers.
Here they all are just waiting to be filled......
And each of them complete with candy - flowers and tags.
My girlfriends were surprised that anyone continues to do this long time tradition - and it was my honor to surprise each of them and give them a little BLAST from the PAST.
Hope you are enjoying your day and you are able to stop back tomorrow when I'll begin sharing some of the Kards I've created in May. Keep Living Your Dream.

A Stroll Through Our Back Yard

Come take a stroll through our back yard and ramanda. Here is the view of our Ramanda - where we eat our dinner every night (when the weather isn't in the 40's). This view is looking from the pool.
If you were to turn around from the photo above and look - this is what you would be looking at. Our Pool and lovely garden where many of the photo's that I shared with you the last couple of days were taken from.
Here's yet another close up view of our Ramanda.......you can begin to see our traditional dining room table for this area.
And here is the full view of our Ramanda and table. I just love coming out here and eating our dinner - there is a ceiling fan right above the table and when those HOT Arizona days get to be TOO MUCH - you flip on the fan and wow......it's totally comfortable out there.
Thanks for stopping by and as promised - tomorrow I will begin sharing some of the Kards I've been busy creating. Hope to see you tomorrow. Keep Living Your Dream!

Flowers in My Garden - April

Thanks for stopping by today...... I'm going to post today something that is TOTALLY NOT Kard Making related (well......Guess I can't say it's not related.......because.....I do have a beautiful view from my studio window of some very beautiful things in our front yard.....so..........Guess I can't say that today's post is not Kard Making related)! Anyways.....On to my post.......I took some photo's of just a few of the beautiful flowers in our yard - and I want to share those with you. Here we go...... Who would have thought that PINK could be so bright in the desert?
And how about RED........beautiful color on our Ramada....
Here are some lovely flowers in one of our traditional Mexician pots......
These yellow flowers along with the purple flowers (next) are poolside in our back yard.
All in all......I have to say that I have as much color in my yard in Arizona as I had in Wisconsin - only difference.....It's color ALL YEAR ROUND in our yard. Thanks for stopping by today - and hope you can return tomorrow when I'll share with you some pictures of our every beautiful yard. (I promise by Monday I'll have some photo's of Kards I've been busy creating.) Keep Living Your Dream!

A Step Into My Rose Garden

When Jack and I moved to Arizona - I thought it was going to be BROWN and pretty much DEAD........OH MY......was I ever WRONG. Check this out...... These are just a few of the beautiful roses that I get to look at when I sit pool side in my back yard. Can you say......beautiful.......
I have both red and pink roses and they are over 5 feet tall and take up the better portion of one side wall in my back yard.
Here are the pink roses........
A combination of both pink......red.....and a beautiful coral color roses.....
Each and every time they bloom - they totally take my breath away. I have no idea how to care for roses (nor does Jack.....) but he did cut them back in January and these pictures were taken mid April and they without a doubt LOVED LOVED LOVED whatever Jack did to them. I told Jack is has earned the title of Master Rose Gardener in my back yard.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your able to stop back tomorrow - I want to share a class that I taught to the SaddleBrooke Stampers on how to make a cupcake holder......Until tomorrow...Keep living your dream.

While I Was Gone - Look What Happened

Well...I'm back.....Sort-Of! Before I hit the blog running with my Kard Kreations - I want to share with you the new addition to our back yard wall. We had Dolly Dove decide that she was going to build her nest on our wall. Here she is getting ticked off with me for coming back to check out her nest..... Here is Dolly in all her glory - sitting on her nest (build on the palm branch which extended over on to our back wall).......Think she could have build her nest in a more protected location......but guess when you have to lay an egg (or two)....you have to go with what works.
So, here I was able to pull back the Palm branches and shot this picture of Ms Dollies two eggs. As you can see from the top of this picture - she jumped off the eggs but landed right on the wall right above the palm - upper left hand corner.
Dolly quickly headed back to the nest when I was done taking pictures of her eggs.
I can only image (in this picture) her thinking....ENOUGH with the pictures lady.....go away. (WHICH I DID.......)
I checked the internet on how long it would be before I could expect babies and it was somewhere between 14-17 days........on the 15th day - I went out to look and momma was gone - along with the eggs. I'm hoping that the Road Runner I saw on the wall earlier in the day didn't decide to have a free lunch. Have no idea if baby Dove just up and go or if Momma moves them to a saver location. (Again......I think if I had build the nest - I would have gone for higher ground)
Hope you enjoyed my pictures of the latest addition to our ever growing wildlife in the desert. Please stop back tomorrow when I'll be sharing some pictures of the lovely flowers that have busted out in our yard. Keep Living Your Dream.

I'm Still Around

Okay friends.......NO....I didn't drop off the face of the earth......I did however have some trouble adjusting to life without a houseful of guest. The kids have returned back to Wisconsin (was too funny - they landed back in Wisconsin before I arrived back in SaddleBrooke - from my returning trip of dropping them off at the Phoenix airport)..........The toys are all put away - along with the sleeping bags and air-o-bed.....and I've almost gotten back into the swing of creating cards. I say almost - because I've been out shopping for more FUN TOYS and PRODUCT for my studio (not to worry....I'll share that with you when I return later this week). I do however have a couple more things to tend to before I return in FULL gear to my blog - so PLEASE......don't give up on me.......I'll be back before the end of the week to share more of my Kards by Kadie and some of the fun things that I've picked up over the last couple of weeks. Hope each of you are having a FABULOUS launch into Summer (it's already been in the HIGH 90's here in Arizona) and I'll check back in later this week. Keep Living Your Dream!

Little Purse Card

Today is Mother's Day and my Mother's Day gift this year was to have both my daughters come to Arizona to be with me for Mother's Day. How truly blessed I am to have my daughters and their families visiting me on this special day. SO.....In honor of Mother's Day today.......I wanted to share another little purse creation with you. I made several of these purse cards - and used just a square piece of cardstock with a matching circle punch for the flap-over. The handle for my purse is a small piece of grossgrain ribbon.
Here's what the Tempting Turquoise looks like.
And a close-up of the purse. Check out the bling I added to the secure the flap down.....It's a SU Rhinestone Brad (Circle Ice).
And one last shot of the Pumpkin Pie version.
I'm off to enjoy the day with my daughters and want to thank you for stopping by. I'll be returning with my regular posting on Saturday, May 15th. Keep Living Your Dream!

Sorry

SORRY that I haven't posted anything for the last couple of days.........BUT......I'm pretty sure you will understand when you see these adorable faces. These are my Grandkids from Wisonsin and I've been busy planning for the arrival of my two daughters, their husbands and my four Wisconsin GRANDKIDS. They will be arriving in less than 10 hours.
A couple of months ago......Jack surprised me with the "go ahead" to purchasing EIGHT round trip tickets for my daughters and their families to fly out to SaddleBrooke and visit for a week. Can I tell you.............The day has finally arrived and I'm about ready to EXPLODED with Joy.
Today they will arrive in Phoenix at 4pm - and I plan to be FRONT AND CENTER at the end of the walkway when they depart their plane. I have those type of grandkids that when they see you...........They run (full steam) right into your arms. It's one of those THRILLS that as a grandparent......Melts your heart. (The first time our oldest grandson Jared did this, we were arriving back in Madison from a 2-week California vacation-and as Jared was running into Jack's arms, he was airborne yelling "Pop Pop, I missed you!" It is one of those visions that is forever BURNED into my mind.)
SO.........My plan is to be MIA for the next week. I have nothing planned for my blog this next week ........ But, I do have some serious PLAY TIME planned with my grandkids. I'll check back with you on the 14th when they will be leaving and I'll have LOTS of pictures and story to share with you. Hope you understand. Until next Friday - Keep Living Your Dream!
