LOVE Heart

Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Paper Pumpkin Saturday ........... And do I have a SUPER FUN CARD to share with you!  This is one of the alternate cards I made with the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  I added some extra cardstock and this card was done in no time flat.  I'm just thrilled with the way it turned out.  Let me share that card with you now.
I created this DARLING little note card with most all the product that was included in my July Paper Pumpkin kit.
I used the large Whisper White heart and 'love' wooden elements that came with the kit and created this OH SO SWEET sentiment piece for the center of my card.
Then I used the Washi Tape that was included in the kit and added 5-panels across the center of my notecard and topped the edges off with a 1/4" Pink Pirouette strip of cardstock.  For the bottom piece, I wrapped some Whisper White Baker's Twine around that cardstock and tied it up into a pretty bow.
A pretty quick and easy card .........
But have to say that Jack will say to me........
'It's the Best Card Ever'.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a Spot Light Sunday card with you ...... Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Scissors Friends Share

Happy Friday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Friends Friday.  Today I want to spot light my gal friends who I shared last weekend with.  Twice a year, a group of nine of us gals get together in Tucson and hang-out for the entire weekend at the Scissors in the City Retreat.  We started a tradition of making table gifts for each other ......... and today's post is all about the table gifts that three of my gal friends made for me.  Let me share with you now........those pretty projects from this VERY TALENTED group of ladies..........
First up, I have three DARLING little gifts that my sweet friends Donna and Kathy made for me.  The Dracula container is filled with some yummy chocolate treats ........ The white ghost bag had two delicious chocolate bars inside .......... And the OH SO CUTE little kitty box was stuffed with more chocolates.

And if the three gifts from above weren't enough ....... Donna and Kathy went OVER THE TOP with these three gifts.  A sour cream Pumpkin container that was filled with (YES.....) more chocolate ....... the ADORABLE test tube had M&M's stacked inside........And the CUTE CUTE CUTE mini Pizza Box was filled with Candy Corn ....... and a SPECIAL little surprise poem inside.  WAIT FOR IT MY FRIENDS..............
HOW CUTE IS THIS LITTLE POEM!
And my final share for today is the SUPER YUMMY pumpkin cake that Darlene made for me.  I didn't want to unwrap it.......because it was packaged up so clever.  (But not to worry......by dinner time......I had it opened and consumed.)  I HAVE TO SAY.........IT WAS SUPER YUMMY!!!

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a special Paper Pumpkin Saturday creation with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Hang in there Owl Tag

Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Tag Thursday.  Today, I will feature a tag I created and show you how easy it is to use minimal supplies to create a SUPER FUN HALLOWEEN TAG.  Now that you have the details for this weeks Tag Thursday ....... Let's jump right in with my tag share for today.......
From the moment I saw the new 'Spooky Night Suite' from Stampin' UP! ...... I knew I would be using ALL the pieces to this collection this Halloween season.
I started out by using the spooky night tree pattern from the 'Spooky Night Designer Series Paper' pack.  (The best part is Stampin' UP! has printed 16 of these little 3" x 3" blocks onto one sheet of the Designer Series Paper and if you don't like the spooky night tree pattern ...... There is a fun black pin-striped image on the other side that you can use.)  I used Early Espresso ink to stamp my spooky owl onto this 3"x3" block ...... And then I finished it off by stamping the "Hang in there" sentiment under the tail of the owl.
I added some 'Very Vanilla Solid Baker's Twine' to the bottom of my tag and before I tied it up into a pretty bow ...... I added some '7/8" Striped Ribbon' and 'Black Vintage Crochet Trim' to the center of my Baker's Twine.
My finishing touch was adding more of the '7/8" Striped Ribbon' and 'Black Vintage Crochet Trim' to the top of my tag.
Such a FUN & SPOOKY kind of tag.......
That will look PERFECT attached to special gift for a friend.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share some Friends Friday creations with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Tis The Season Card

Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Wine-Down Wednesday.  My middle of the week card feature for today will hopefully offer you some inspiration and provide you with some motivation to keep you moving through your busy week.  Let's jump right in with my card share for today........
I have to say ...... This just might be one of my favorite holiday cards I've created this year!
There is SO MUCH texture going on with this card.  I started out by using my Big Shot and the 'Pinewood Planks' 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on my Crumb Cake panel.
My sentiment was stamped using the 'Christmas Pines' set along with VersaMark and Gold Embossing Powder.  I created a banner flag on one end and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up my sentiment onto my embossed Crumb Cake panel.
Then I created these BEAUTIFUL over the top pine cones with the 'Christmas Pines' set and more Gold Embossing Powder.
The final touch to my card was wrapping some 'Gold 1/8" Ribbon' around the top of my card and I tied it off with a pretty bow.
All the texture on this card just makes it impossible to not stop and touch it.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow with a Tag Thursday creation to share with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

September Early Bird Gift

Happy Tuesday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is 3-D Tuesday.  That means today I have a fun little 3-D project to share with you.  This project is SUPER FUN to create and the product is featured in the both the 2017-2018 Stampin' UP! Annual Catalog and the 2017 Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog.  Let's jump right in with my project share for today.......
When I do my 3rd Wednesday of the month Stamp Camp, I encourage my stamping friends to arrive early for my "Early Bird Drawing".  This not only gets the ladies to my camp on time......but also gives me an opportunity to create a fun 3-D project to give away.  This is the 3-D gift I made for my September Stamp Camp.
So since my September Stamp Camp was based around Halloween ..... I created this fun gift box that held four Halloween note cards.

I made three versions of this notecard holder ........ This is what the first one looked like.
For each holder I started out with a 9" x 11" piece of cardstock.  I scored on the 11" side at 2-1/2 and 4-1/2".  And then I turned my cardstock to the 9" side and positioned my cardstock so the 2-small scored sections were at the top of my scoring board.  I scored at 1/2" down to the 1st score line, then I scored at 2-1/2" all the way to the bottom of my cardstock, next I scored at 6-1/2" all the way to the bottom of my cardstock and my final score was a 8-1/2" and that was scored down to the 1st score line.  I removed the two largest scored panels and then I cut tabs up to the 2-1/2" score line on one side and did the same on the opposite.  These tabs are what I used to assemble my box.
Here are two of the four cards that were tucked inside my first holder.
And this is how the first holder looked when filled up with the notecards.
Here is the second holder that I created......
And two of the four cards that were tucked inside the holder.
And this is how the second holder looked when filled up with the notecards.
And this is the third version I created......
Here are two of the four cards that were tucked inside this holder.
And this is what the two Early Bird Gifts looked like after I packaged them up and made them pretty with some ribbon and baker's twine.  Needless to say ........ The gals who won this Early Bird gift were THRILLED!

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a Wine Down Wednesday card with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Upgraded Halloween Bags

Happy Monday My Blogger Friends!
Today is Mix It UP! Monday and I have an upgraded version of the Candy Corn Bag I shared with you yesterday in my Remarkable/InkBig Blog Hop.  I used some retired Stampin' UP! product to create this spread of Candy Corn Bags for my fellow Scissors and the City Retreat friends this past weekend.  Let me share all those fun bags that I created for my girlfriends........
Twice a year ........ I meet up with nine of my Mesa/Phoenix GalPals and we attend the Scissors and the City Retreat in Tucson, AZ.  We spend the entire weekend (Friday - Sunday) playing and working on scrapbook pages and card projects.  Since next month is Halloween......I designed these nine Candy Eye Ball Bags for each of them to enjoy.
I used the Stampin' UP! 3" x 6" 'Gusseted Cellophane Bags' and created a DSP liner that slide right into the gusseted bag.
My DSP insert is 6-1/8" x 2-7/8" and I scored it at 2" and that created the flat bottom for my 'Gusseted  Cellophane Bags'.
And I filled each bag with some OVER THE TOP YUMMY chocolate eye balls.
So that is how I upgraded my Spot Light Sunday bags ........
To make them a special treat for my Scissors and the City Retreat.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a 3-D Tuesday creation with you ...... Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Remarkable/InkBig September Blog Hop

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop
Welcome to the Blog Hop for September 2017. This month our theme is “HALLOWEEN”.  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog Kards by Kadie or may have come from the person previous to me in the list.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.  At the moment you are visiting KARDS BY KADIE.
My project is a YUMMY bag of Candy Corn.
I prepared my 3"x6" Cello Bag by scoring the bottom of the bag at 2".  This 2" scored section created a pleated bottom, that would allow my bag to sit upright on the table.  I used Glue Dots to secure down that pleated 2" section and this formed the flat bottom for my bag.
Next, I cut a piece of 'Spooky Night' Designer Series Paper that measured 3" x 6-1/4".  I scored that DSP at 2" and added Glue Dots to the bottom of that 2" section.
I carefully insert that DSP into my 3x6 cello bag and secured down the 2" section of the DSP to the bottom of my cello bag.
Here is what my DSP panel looked like when positioned into my cello bag.
I wanted to add a top flap to my cello bag ......... So I cut a piece of DSP that measured 3" x 1-1/2" and scored that piece of DSP at 1/4",  I added some Mono Glue to the 1/4" flap and secured that down onto the top of the DSP panel in my cello bag.
Here is what the back of my DSP looks like when that 3" x 1-1/2" piece of DSP panel is attached.
And here's a view of what that 3" x 1-1/2" DSP panel looks like from the front of my cello bag.
The last part of assembling my Candy Corn bag was to create this darling little medallion piece.
I create some black glimmer paper by using Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and the 'Starburst' punch.  I grabbed my Basic Black Archival ink pad and used my Sponge Dauber to ink up the entire surface of my punched Dazzling Diamond Glimmer piece.
All that was left to do was stamp my sentiment with the 'Spooky Cat' set and punched it out with the new 'Everyday Label Punch'.  I then layered my Black Glimmer Starburst piece onto a Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black 'Layering Circle' pieces and adhered all these pieces together to create this darling Halloween medallion.

I attached my Halloween medallion to the top flap of my bag with 2-Stampin' Dimensionals.  And then I added a 'Gold Binder Clip' to the top of my bag and finished that clip off with some of the new Black Vintage Crochet Trim.
And the final step was adding some YUMMY Candy Corn to my cello bag and I was able to call this project DONE!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss.  Remember that currently you are at my blog – Kards By Kadie, so check the blog hop line up list below to see who is next in the list.
