Pink and White....

Today I want to share a couple YUMMY treat holders I made using the SU BigZ Box #2 die. I saw the idea on Angie's blog Chick'nScratch http://www.mychicnscratch.com/ on her January 15, 2011 post. Let's get started: This first box creation is filled with hersey nuggets. I used SU Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered two BigZ Box #2 together. I cut off two flaps of the die and assembled the boxes and then joined them together back-to-back. This treat holder box holds several hersey nuggets and my hopes are to go back and wrap each of the nuggests with the same DSP I used to decorate the outside of my holder.
The next card box I created was using the exact same box and DSP as I used for the first treat holder....but just mixed it up a little and created it to be a 3x3 note card holder. I added several little owl note cards inside the box (see the link I provide below for Mary Fish who created these adorable 3x3 cards) and blinged the holder up a little by adding a SU library clip to the front of the holder.
Here's a close-up of the sweet little message I added to the front of my holder and by using a SU mini library clip I was able to just clip the "a little treat for someone so sweet" message to the holder with just the library clip.
This final picture is a close-up of the little 3x3 owl note cards that I tucked into my treat holder. This idea came from my stampin buddie Mary Fish http://www.stampinpretty.com/ Mary is a SU demonstrator and does some AMAZING work. She use to live only a couple blocks away from me when I lived in Madison, Wisconsin......and I only got an opportunity to connect with her when we both moved out to the Tucson Arizona area. If you get some free time-go check out Mary's blog.....she's so talented and has SO MUCH to share with the paper crafting world.
I have plenty more creations to share with you........so please stop back to see what I've created. Until tomorrow........Keep Living Your Dream!

Cards I've Made

It's the weekend and hope you are spending some of your weekend relaxing ....... recharging ....... and creating. Today I'll be sharing three cards that I made and thought you might enjoy me sharing them with you. Let's get started........... Here are my three cards for today. There is a Sympathy Card.....a Get Well Card and then a card that could be used for anything.
That first card is the anything card. It's a standard A2 card but just has a unique fold design to it. You could use this card for any purpose (which I have). I love the look of pink and black together.......makes me think of my granddaughter.....all girly looking.
This next card I made into a sympathy card. My SaddleBrooke stamping friend Kris taught this class at one of our Saturday Fun Shops. She taught us how to use a brayer to get some amazing finished looks.
And this last card my BFF and I made at the Mesa Convention this past fall. Card came togther super fast and the bettle bug was popped up with PopDots to give it some real dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you can swing by tomorrow when I'll be back to share more card creations with you. Keep Living Your Dream!

Mix It Up Card

Happy Friday my Blogging and Stamper Friends. I am so thrilled that you came back to visit my blog again today. I wanted to kick off the weekend with SUPER FUN and SUPER COLORFUL cards today.......I think both of these cards fit the bill....... Here are the two cards that I will be sharing with you today.......Both pretty much the same card....just using different shapes for each of them.
First I have a fun and colorful birthday card to share with you. You could use any shape for each of the squares.......I used to stars to help bring home the reason for this card.....Birthday!
I then decided to use a heart shape punch for this next card. I totally think this card would be classified under the BRIGHT and HAPPY heading. The fun thing about making these cards is to use up your scrap pieces of cardstock - you just need to cut out four squares (and honestly they could be any size-depending on the size of your punch) and then four coordinating punch shapes in fun colors. You can't go wrong with your color combinations for these cards.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have some FUN plans for the upcoming weekend. I plan to do some serious playing in my studio this weekend. I want to get some cards designed and plan to spend the entire weekend creating. Hope you can visit tomorrow for more Kards by Kadie. Keep Living Your Dream!

More SW Stamper Cards

Welcome back blogger/stamper friends and thanks for joining me. Today I have three cards to share with you.....all three of these were made by my SW Stamper Demo friends. Let's get started......... Here are the first two cards I want to share with you. They were made by Amanda Harbison and Linda Smith.......let me spotlight each of them for you........
This is Amanda's card......The Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder give this whisper white card stock an amazing look. The Days of Gratitude stamp set and the Night of Navy 1-1/4" striped grossgrain ribbon make this card just scream with a vintage look all the way.
Here is Linda's card. She used the stamp set French Foliage and she selected Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and More Mustard ink and cardstock to pull this card together. Lovely card Linda.
And this last little number was made by Louann Young. She made a charming gift card holder using Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink. Her stamp set is I (heart) hearts and also One of a Kind.
Here is the gift card holder with the belly band removed.
And a shot of the gift card holder opened to reveal a spot for you to tuck a gift card in. This template will come in handy for my grandkids gift cards that I buy for them on their birthdays. Great job Louann.
Many thanks to my SW Stamping Demo friends for sharing their creations with our group. You are all very talented and I am honored to be included in with this group.
I'm hoping that you can come back tomorrow when I'll be sharing more card creations with you. Until tomorrow......Keep Living Your Dream!

SW Stampers Cards

Happy Wednesday Blogger/Stamper Friends and thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I'll be sharing two of my January swap cards from my fellow SW Stamper Friends. Let's get started. Here are two cards I swapped with my fellow demonstrators friends.
This first card was made by Amanda Harbison. She did an amazing job with her color selection and check out this close-up of the textured Big Shot plate she used on the Crumb Cake Card Stock.......
Amanda's card is full of texture and delivers a fun birthday greeting for any age.
This next card was done by Cathy Gray......talk about an amazing discovery....Cathy colored in the bumble bees with Marina Mist ink.....and that instantly changed the look of this DSP by SU. Love how Cathy flipped over a tiny edge of her DSP and stamped a bee under the paper to reveal a little surprise in the upper right hand corner. FABULOUS JOB Cathy. LOVE IT!
Here's a close-up of the bumble bees all colored in with her Marina Mist ink. This was totally one of those "WOW" cards that I received in January.
Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow when I'll be sharing more of my SW Stamper cards from January with you. Until tomorrow......Keep Living Your Dream!

Mesa Convention Cards

Hi Blogger Friends and thanks for stopping back to visit me at my blog. Today I want to share a couple samples that I made at last years Mesa Convention. Here's the samples I did at the Make N Takes throughout the convention center.
This first sample I can't honestly say I remember what vendor we had visited. I remember this card was multiple layers of stamping and the actual card came together SO FAST - I was amazed at how easy it was to put together.
This next sample was an amazing tag I made using MULTIPLE layers and lots of distressing. The coolest technique I used on this card was the Brayer......fabulous results.
Here's a close-up of that tag. It turned out so beautiful that I have it hanging in my studio along with the many other treasures that make it to the upper studio cabinet.
Thanks for stopping by today and would love to see you back here tomorrow so I can share more of my creations with you. Until Wednesday.........Keep Living Your Dream!

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is a very special (but sad) day for me......It's my Dad's birthday. He was a kind and gentle man and was taken from this earth TOO SOON. In honor of my Dad......I share with you today a couple Birthday cards........ Here is the same design - but two different colors........
This first is a fabulous Pink Birthday card and I stamped three birthday images and popped them up on a scallop circle. Of course.....It wouldn't be a birthday without glitter........
Here's a full-on version of this fun birthday card.
And here is a much cleaner version of the same card (more of my Dad's style). Stamping the same image three times and popping it up on a scallop circle like the pink one.
These two cards are my go to birthday cards. I typically have lots of birthday cards made up in advance......but if for some reason I need a quick birthday card.......I can always count on this card coming together without a hitch.
Tomorrow I have more Kards by Kadie creations to share with you.....so.....please consider stopping back to see what I've got to post. Keep Living Your Dream!

Two Tag Flip Card

Hi Blogger Friends and Happy Sunday to you! Today I was feeling like I needed to go back to my Wisconsin Roots and I cranked out this fun Two Tag Flip Up card.......... These can be made for just about any reason - I honestly like making them for Thank You and also for Anniversary cards. BUT.....the sky is the limit on what message you put on the front of them.
Here's the ones I made for Anniversary wishes........You use just a little patterned paper and get a whole lot of bang for your buck. The white section of the card flips up - making the two silver mats that the card rest on to be the backing for your card.
Here's a fun and playful Thank You card - created using an epoxy bubble with the message punched out with a circle punch.
Same idea with this one.....just changed up the paper and saying. It's a great way to use up your scrap paper and ribbon.
The weekend is over and it's back to work tomorrow and the fun will start all over for another week. Hope you can come back tomorrow and see more Kards by Kadie creations. Keep Living Your Dream!

October Fun Shop (Part Two)

Hi Blogger Friends and Happy Saturday to you. Today I'll be sharing the second half of the Fun Shop Kris pulled together for the SaddleBrooke Stamper friends back in October. These are cards from the second table at our event and I'm afraid I don't know who made which card....so please....sit back and enjoy these cards........ Here's a group shot of the cards that table number two made.......
I know that this card the group did some stamping for the back ground and made at least one of these flowers on the card.
Here's my favorite card from this table......It's totally ME.....Fun colors and lots of WOW!
This card just sreams KADIE........I'm thinking that the group punched out circles from some fun DSP and adhered them down to their card.....SUPER FUN!
And this last card is without a doubt one of those cards that would be fun to learn how to make. Think it would make an excellent sympathy card - of which I have the most difficulty coming up with layouts for.
Hope you enjoyed the cards which my fellow SaddleBrooke Stamper friends made......and that you can return tomorrow for more Kards by Kadie creations. Until Sunday.......Keep Living Your Dream!

October Fun Shop

Greetings Blogger Friends and Happy Friday to you. Hope you have some fabulous plans for the upcoming weekend. My hopes are to accomplish all that I set out to do. Today I will sharing a Fun Shop that my SaddleBrooke Stamper Friend Kris put on last October......I was sorting through some photo's and found these pictures and realized I had never posted them. Kris had put together a Shoebox swap and these are the cards my table made..... This was my shoebox card. I used the large oval punch to design the tulips and the basket and blossom Big Shot Die (just cut down) fo the pot or basket.
This card my stampin buddie Ann made........She showed us how to make a pinwheel design and I have to say.....It wasn't near as complicated as I thought it would be.......BEAUTIFUL!
Here's the card my friend Opal had us make. We embossed the daisies and simple LOVE how this card turned out. I totally will be making some sympathy cards using this design.
Next up is my BFF's card..........I loved everything about this card that I CASE'd it for my November SW Stampers cards........THANKS JAN!
And last but not least.....my favorite card.......Kris made this special flower card that I fell head over heels for. She had NO IDEA where this paper came from.....but seriously........I would have gone out and bought a paper stack of it had I know where to look. BEAUTIFUL Kris!
I'll be sharing the other tables cards with you tomorrow.......And it will mainly just be pictures I took of their cards.......as I have no idea who made the cards from that table.
Until tomorrow.......Keep Living Your Dream!

GroundHog Day Surprise

Hi Blogger Friends and Happy Thursday to you. Yesterday was my Weight Watchers weigh in day and WOW-oh-WOW-oh-WOW....hang on.....I'm down 15-1/2 pound since joining Weight Watchers (almost 7-weeks ago)....BUT....the seriously great news is......I'm down a total of over 23 pounds since the first of the year. I had started to take off some weight before I joined WW and if I add those 8-10 pounds to my official weight loss-I'm well over 23 pounds. HOLY BUCKETS....I can't stand it. I was doing the MAJOR HAPPY DANCE in SaddleBrooke last night. So now....on with my post for today. Check out this adorable face! He was hanging from my mailbox on February 1st.
This is the cutie face that I was greeted with when Jack brought in the mail on GroundHog Day. There was no signature.....nothing telling me who was my secret groundhog fairy. I just knew that whoever it was.....knows I LOVE chocolate......check out what the bag topper had attached to it.....
Couldn't you just flip after seeing something like this? It took me almost two weeks to finally drag it out of my SaddleBrooke friends which one was the secret delivery person .....but....I kept at it and finally Sandy weakened and spilled the beans (or should I say......said her shadow had been seen! SORRY!) I was just so blown away that she remembered Ground Hog Day........let alone gave me a little something something to celebrate such a FUN DAY!
Her timing was PERFECT.......I had that miserable cold and my spirits and system were BOTH totally DOWN. Needless to say...after getting this sweet little gift.....I was well on the road to recovery.
THANK YOU Sandy for my fabulously delicious gift....You are truly a special friend. It has taken front row center in my studio and is hanging on the handle pull from one of my upper cabinets. It's right in eye view of my work station. LOVE IT!
Please stop back tomorrow when I'll be sharing some cards from a shoebox swap I attended up here in SaddleBrooke. Until Friday...Keep Living Your Dream!
