FU Group Projects

Happy Sunday my blogger friends and so glad that you stopped by to visit. As my title tells you...It's time for another FU (NO NOT FU......Remember......That stands for Fabulously Untouchable....or is that Fabulously Unmistakeable....or.....whatever...You serioulsy know what it stands for).........FU gathering time! Last Wednesday my FU Ladies met and we worked on our shoebox projects/cards and here is what we made...... First up is a DARLING little project that my friend Kris Holmes had us make. SERIOUSLY...the pictures DO NOT present this project as nicely as it is in person. Kris had us take a 4"x6" clear picture frame and create this DARLING DARLING post it note holder for our desk. We distressed some fabulous old world paper for the insert where your picture would go and then we used a monogram stamp set system for our decorated monogram scallop......(OKAY Kris - I know your reading this - Can you please leave a comment below on the name of this system so others can check out this amazing stamp set system that we used?) Check out the monogram scallop that I made.........

Typically you would set your monogram up with 3-initials....but....since I don't have a middle name - Kris came up with the idea of using the smallest letter to this system and having my entire name spelled out.......FABULOUS! Have to tell you....This little baby is sitting front and center on my studio desk....NO MORE DIGGING TO FIND A POST IT NOTE!

Next up is Ann LaPerre's card project. This card has a extra special wow factor when you open it up (and again......doesn't show up on this post - but trust me.....It's a WOW!). Not only did Ann create this fabulous tag folded card.....but.......

But Ann also had stripes of Red Line Tape run down three of the four panels......and when we removed the backing on the Red Line Tape.....We sprinkled GLITTER onto the tape and we had instant purple glitter stripes running down our tag inserts......FABULOUS!

And here's my attempt to doing some watercoloring! As you know.....watercoloring is one of those things that people study for YEARS to learn........and let's just say.......I have LOTS of years to still practice this art before I master it! LOVE YOUR PROJECT Ann!

And lastely ........ But of course NOT LEAST....... is Debbie Hills card project. I call Debbie my wind-up toy friend......You seriously wind her up and set her down.......and BAAAAMMMMM..........OFF SHE GOES! The most difficult part of being friends with Debbie.....is keeping up with her (LOVE YOU GIRLFRIEND).

Debbie's card has SO MANY FABULOUS elements...I seriously don't even know where to begin. Debbie had a Judith bucket stamp that she had us stamp and embossed in a yummy yummy copper embossing powder. We then decorated the front of our card with DSP to create a FRAMED center.

But....the most difficult part of this card was deciding which flowers to pick to decorate our basket. Debbie had LOTS and LOTS of BEAUTIFUL flowers on the center of her table and we got to decide how and what we wanted to go into our basket. What FUN!

And.....we even got to decorate the inside of our card with yet another Stamp by Judith. We embossed a yummy chocolate chip scallop with white embossing powder and not only did our message turn out FABULOUS.....but it added that special little something something surprise when you opened the card. Thank you Debbie for this FABULOUS......FABULOUS Card!

Card from Mary Fish

It's Saturday my blogger friends and I'm hoping that you have some serious play time on your calendar for today......I DO! So I'll hurry and show you a fabulous card that my SU friend Mary Fish at http://www.stampinpretty.com/ made for me. I received this awesome card in the mail from Mary and without a doubt, Mary does all the right things with her creations. Mary creates clean.....neat and truly amazing card creations. She has more ideas than I will ever hope to have......and I can proudly say.......I'm truly blessed to have Mary in my life!

Check out this multiple layered flower.......FABULOUS or what!

She added this darling little "friends" message to the front of her card.......and wrote me the most amazine little message on the inside of my card.

And here's one last view of Mary's amazing card. LOVE IT! Thank you Mary for coming out to my studio to visit and I'm hoping you walked away with some idea for your new stamping studio. I for one can't wait to see what you've done.

Gift from my BFF

Hi Blogger Friends! Happy Friday to you. Now.....On to my gift from my BFF. Check out what Jan made for me on Monday. Isn't this just TOO STINKIN' CUTE for words! First of all I have to tell you that she made this......WOW! And second of all......It seriously speaks of our friendship......

She made this darling foam flowers and connected them with floral wire and lollipop sticks. She joined the flowers together with some fun brads.....added some Easter grass......and then added a fabulous note card to the top.

Check out these FUN FUN Flowers. I wasn't surprised at all when I saw these colored flowers. Jan knows without a doubt that my favorite color is Pink (as I know hers is Red).

The seriously best part of this gift is the sweet sweet message on the front of this cup. Doesn't this message just speak to the connection that you have with your BFF?

BUT.....I think my favorite part of this entire gift is the totally yummy ribbon that Jan used to decorate the handle of my coffee cup. As if the pink flowers weren't enough......the ribbon is one of those amazing ribbons that you could just feel and touch - ALL DAY LONG. LOVE IT!

Mini Milk Carton Template

Hi Blogger Friends.....It's Thursday and Guess What......I DID IT! (insert Kadie doing the HAPPY DANCE here!) I made lifetime goat at Weight Watchers yesterday. I've reach my goal weight (in 19-weeks) of 35 pounds.......and now I only need to weigh in once a month. I'm so proud of what I set out to do.....and with the support of many friends (special Thanks to Kris, Debbie and Ann for giving me BIG HUGS after my meeting yesterday) - I've done it. My new goal is to keep the weight off this time - and plan to weigh in at least once a month and attend regular meetings. It's all good. Now on to my post for today. As I promised yesterday......Here is the template for my mini milk carton holder. The dimensions are pictured below.... The measurements for the handle are a piece of cardstock that measures 1-3/4" x 11" and then you score at 1-3/4", 5-1/2" and 9-1/4". (The 5-1/2" score line will be your center fold ) Where I have penciled in the small oval image........You are going to use your small oval punch to go through all thicknesses of your cardstock to create the hole for your handle.

Next up your going to create your base - Using a piece of 4-1/4" x 6" cardstock you will score at 1-1/4" on all four sides. Cut on the solid lines to create the corners for your holder and secure with red line tape (*you really want to secure your holder with red line tape so things stay glued together).

Here's a close up of the milk carton base measurements.

Hope this template helps you create some of these adorable mini milk carton holders. They will hold PLENTY of M&M's......Hersey Kisses.......Jelly Beans and even money. The sky is the limit on what you put into these little milk cartons. Have fun and link me to your creations if you spin off and create some of these.

Mini Milk Carton Holder

Hi Blogger Friends and Happy Wednesday to you. Today is weigh in day at Weight Watchers - I've got everything crossed for luck today. I only have ONE POUND to go to reach my LifeTime Goal weight......I'm pretty sure I'll get there today......but any positive energy you can forward to me ......Won't hurt! I want to share the door prize gift I made for last weeks SW Stampers meeting. This month I was responsible for making the door prize for our meeting and this is what I made....... It's two of the mini milk carton dies and a darlin little holder I made to store the two milk cartons. SUPER EASY and SUPER FAST.....I'll post the template tomorrow for the milk carton holder....... Here's a close up of what the back of my mini milk carton holder looks like. The holder has room for two mini milk cartons and there is a handle so you can carry your completed project. And here's a view of the two mini milk cartons when taken out of the holder. And this is the little buddy I made to go along with the sample that I took with me to the SW Stampers meeting. I just knew I needed one of these cute little holders for my studio so I created a second one in Kraft. My gift was a hit and Cathy was the lucky winner of this months door prize. I just know it will be proudly displayed somewhere in her home.

SW Stampers Meeting

Happy Tuesday my blogger friends! Today I'll be sharing the cards I received from my fellow SW Stamper Friends last Tuesday for our May meeting. Let's get started........ First up are cards made by Linda and Cathy........

This is Linda's card......So PRETTY. She used the embossing folder and layered three 1" squares with the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.....So much prettier in person!

Next up is Cathy Gray's card......so elegant and shabby chic looking. Love the seam binding she used through the center of her card and check out the embossing folder she used on the bottom portion of her card. Such a lovely touch.

Next we have cards made by Karen and Sue.....

Here's Karen's card.......Love how Karen used the jumbo wheel to create the dotted lines along her Real Red piece of cardstock. And she also included a bity button and the new Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine to really give this card a touch of WOW.

Sue did a demo on her card......It's a Cupcake Slider card that she learned from Jackie Topa at http://jackietopa.typepad.com

She actually showed us how to create this card and make the center piece slide up to reveal the candle on the birthday cupcake.......Totally a WOW factor card. You too can check out Jackie Topa's blog at http://jackietopa.typepad.com and in the search box type "Cupcake Holder" her tutorial will show you just how to make this fabulous card.

And here is the make n take we made at our May meeting with the help of Barb. We used the new Sail Away stamp set and with the help of the word window punch we were able to create this fabulous card that is ready to be given to any Dad for Father's Day. I seriously think this card was complete when we added the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. Great Card Barb!

Birthday Bash Blog Hop Coming

Happy Monday my Blogger Friends. Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I enjoyed a relaxing day yesterday with my honey and got LOTS of things checked off my "to do" list. I spent all of Saturday shopping with my BFF. We picked up some amazing items at the scrapbook stores and enjoyed not only a full day of shopping but ended up having our hubbies drive downtown to meet us for dinner. LOVE IT that all four of us enjoy getting together and hanging out.
