Pop n' Cuts Treat Box

Happy Friday My Blogger Friends!
It's Day 15 of my Hummingbird update......
So my little hummers have finally begun wing movement!  Momma comes and feeds them and when she's done.......they reach up and start flapping their wings.  It's only a matter of time now!  You can really see by this picture that Spike has just about outgrown the nest......and Gizmo is enjoying the warmth of not only his nest-mate....but also the 104 degree weather we are having here in Tucson.  I'm pretty ready for my little hummers to leave the nest and FLY!

My project share for today is a FUN Pop n' Cuts Treat Box that Karen Reid (fellow SW Stamper demonstrator) shared at our May demonstrators meeting.  Check out this SUPER FUN Box......
Karen shared how to make this treat box by using the Pop n' Cuts Base die and creating an insert for the inside of your holder.
To create the outside holder.......You cut your DSP or Cardstock using the Pop n' Cuts Base Die.  You then put the flat end on the left side of your Simply Scored Tool and score at 1-1/2", 2-1/2", 4-1/2", 6-1/2", 8-1/2" and 9-1/2".   Next you fold "IN" on all your score lines EXCEPT the two end scores.  Those you will fold "OUT".  Your last step for creating the outside holder is to use the Large Oval Punch to create your handle.
To create the Box Insert.........Start with a 8-1/4" x 6" piece of coordinating cardstock.  On the 8-1/4" side you will score at 2" and 6-1/4".  On the 6" side you will score at 2" and 4".  On the long sides, cut up fold lines to horizontal fold lines.  Cut tabs to about 1/2".  Put Sticky Strip on both tabs and secure to create your box insert.  Add Sticky Strip to the bottom center panel of your holder and position your box insert onto the Sticky Strip.  Your Pop n' Cuts Treat Box is completed.

All that is left to do is decorate the outside of your holder and maybe add a piece of ribbon through your handles to secure your holder closed.

Credit for this project goes to www.stampint.com
BUT.........MANY THANKS to Karen for sharing this project with our SW Stampers Group.

Thanks for joining me today.....I'm back tomorrow with another new card share - Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Bloomin' Bouquet Sampler

Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
Today is Day 14 of my Hummingbird update!
As of 6:00am both my hummers were still settled in their nest.  It will be any day now that they will be leaving the nest.....so here's a couple more pics of their tight quarters........
This shows my little Gizmo with his eye wide open.........
And here you can see just how TIGHT it's getting in their little home.  I'm trying to prepare myself for their departure..........but I just know it's going to be SAD to see them go.  I stay hopeful that they will stick around our backyard for us to enjoy over the next couple of weeks!

My share for today is a SUPER FABULOUS project that I made for my Open House last Saturday!
I purchased one of the Bloomin' Bouquet kits and made this GORGEOUS floral centerpiece for my table.  The entire project came together in a SNAP........and ALL the pieces are included in this limited time kit that SU is offering.
The Bloomin' Bouquet Kit (#1324542) comes with all the die-cut flowers, labels, stems and buttons to create a 13-flower bloomin' bouquet arrangement.
I added bakers twine to the center of each of my buttons.....but that is all it took to bring a real WOW FACTOR to each of my flowers.
Here's another close-up of the flowers that you can make with this kit.
I filled a vase with colorful buttons from my button stash.....and that SERIOUSLY put this project OVER THE TOP!

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share one of the new card samples that I made for my recent Open House......Hope you can come back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

My This and That Journal

Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends!
It's Day 13 of the Hummingbird update.....
As of 6:00am both Spike and Gizmo were both still in the nest.  Today is officially the day that Spike should be ready to leave.  Their little beaks are pushing up out of the nest and between the two of them.......There is NO ROOM for Momma!  Took this picture of them last night.....and as you can see......Spike has his eye open and probably wondering why he's not getting any food dropped down his throat.  I'm preparing myself for a quick and sudden departure of my feathered friends!

My share today is the Epic Day This and That Journal that I created.

I purchased myself and my granddaughter Hailey one of these journals.  I got busy right away cutting up hexagon shapes with the Epic Day DSP and decorated the front of my journal book.
I also added some 3/8" Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon to the front of my book and for a little WOW FACTOR.......I added two little pieces of Pool Party and Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon to the top portion of my Calypso Coral piece.
I framed one of the stickers  that coordinate with the This and That Journal and popped it up onto the bottom left hand side of my journal book.
I also used the Ruffled Ribbon and both Daffodil Delight and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon to PRETTY UP the spiral portion of my journal.  All I did was knot the ribbon to the spiral and then cut the ends off.
So there you have it......My Epic Day This and That Journal.

Thanks for joining me today......I'll be back tomorrow to share with you a card I made using some new SU product from our new catalog.  Hope you can join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Wildflower Meadow Card #2

Happy Tuesday My Blogger Friends!
Day 12 of my Hummingbird update.......
Check out this amazing picture Bill took of Momma Hummingbird feeding Spike and Gizmo....
Well it's the big day.......Spike and Gizmo should be ready to leave the nest tomorrow.  It will be Day 14 and that is the day our research says the babes should be ready to leave the nest.  I SERIOUSLY will miss my little hummer friends.......and can only HOPE I am near the window watching when they take flight.

My card share today is another sample of the GORGEOUS cards you can make using the NEW Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder.  I have made the same card FOUR TIMES.......And all I did was change up the color combination on each card.  First up is the Wisteria Wonder sample......

I embossed a Whisper White Panel with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder ...... Next I used the Wildflower Meadow stamp and inked it up with Wisteria Wonder ink (for the flower) and Pear Pizzazz (for the stem) and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White and then fussy cut out the image.
All that was left to do was glue the flower pieces directly on top of the embossed image and add a "Happy Birthday" banner to the bottom of my card.
Here is the Crushed Curry version......
Very Rich Looking!
And the Crisp Cantaloupe version.....
This version turned out SO PRETTY!
And the Soft Sky Version.......
Oh So Elegant!

I think now that my Open House is over.....I'm going to package these four cards up into a gift box and give them to someone very special.  I think this is going to make a darling gift and can't wait to give them away.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share my This and That Journal with you ..... Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Wildflower Meadow Card #1

Happy Monday My Blogger Friends!
Day 11 of my Hummingbird update........
Well the babies are so big now that they have just about out-grown their happy home. Check out my Spike and Gizmo.....
They really are still very tiny......but the nest is small and they have managed to fill it up completely.  Momma is doing a great job of keeping up with the feedings ...... but since they are soooooo big ... there's very little room for her on the nest.

It's really cute to watch Momma feed Spike and Gizmo.......all you see is their little months WIDE OPEN and each taking their turn with the feeding.  This whole experience has been nothing short of a miracle!  I have an AWESOME PICTURE to share with you tomorrow that Bill took on Sunday afternoon of Momma feeding her babes. (can't wait to share that with you......)

My share today is one of the most popular cards at my Open House on Saturday.  Check this out.....
This card used the new Wildflower Meadow Stamp Set and the coordinating Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder.
The sentiment is from the Bloomin' With Kindness set and I stamped it in Soft Suede.
The magic of this set is you stamp the Wildflower Meadow image onto Whisper White card Stock (I used Bake Brown Sugar).......and then you run that stamped image through the embossing folder and WOW.....You have this amazing a very detailed embossed image.
I added some 7/16" Natural Trim Ribbon around the bottom portion of my card and that gave me the little something something I was looking for.
Here's one last look at the amazing and gorgeous detail that is picked up when you run your Whisper White panel through the embossing folder.
This has to be one of my FAVORITE bundles that Stampin' UP! is offering in our new catalog ...... and I would STRONGLY SUGGEST that you give these two items a second look when your flipping through the new catalog.  YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

I'll be back tomorrow to share four other samples that I made with the Wildflower Meadow stamp set.  Hope you can make plans to come back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Open House Make n' Take

Happy Sunday My Blogger Friends!
It's Day 10 of my Hummingbird Share and today I have one more AMAZING picture of my Hummingbird family to share with you.......
This picture was taken by my girlfriend Rochelle's husband Bill.  I think it's my favorite and I know without a doubt.....that is Gizmo getting a fresh little insect from his Momma Goldie.  I am so blessed to have Bill come over and take these pictures and I know I will treasure them FOREVER. Thank-You Bill!

My card share today is kicking off the release of the new Stampin' UP! 2013-2014 Catalog.  Here are the two Make n' Takes that the ladies created at my Open House on Saturday.......
This is the first Make n' Take Station......It was set-up for the ladies to make a bookmark.  They were going to be doing some punching (with the new Mosaic Punch) and also check out the new 2013-2015 In-Colors.......
Here's the bookmark they made.  Many thanks to my Upline Lisa Pretto for forwarding to me the template for creating this bookmark.  The ladies had so much fun creating this bookmark and loved using the new Mosaic punch to make it all happen.
And our second Make n' Take Station ......... It was a little 3"x3" card and envelope.  Here is that station all set-up and ready for the ladies to begin their stamping.
I gave the ladies the option of selecting either the new Quatrefancy Specialty DSP or the Gingham Garden DSP for their card front.  They also picked either the Happy Birthday or Just For You sentiment from the new "Label Love" stamp set.  We stamped the sentiment with Strawberry Slush ink onto Whisper White cardstock.......and used the new coordinating Artisan Label punch to frame it out.  Such a Happy and fun little 3x3 card.

Many THANKS to all the ladies that attended my Open House.  You made it a HUGE SUCCESS and have allowed me to become even closer to the Stampin' UP! Get Away Vacation that I've been working to earn.

Thanks for joining me today.........My friend Rochelle and her husband are coming over this afternoon to take a few more pictures of Spike and Gizmo......I'm hoping to share some of those on Tuesday with you.  I'll be back tomorrow to share more new product cards with you.....Hope you can come back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Card for Doll Baby and Steven

Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends!
Day 9 of my Hummingbird update.......And let me tell you something.....Today and tomorrows pics are going to BLOW YOU AWAY!  Check these out......
This picture was taken by my girlfriend Rochelle's husband.  OH MY GOSH.....it's like he was right next to the nest.......(but not to worry.....he has an amazing camera that he was able to zoom in for the shot)...........
My Momma Hummingbird (Goldie) had just returned back to the nest and got right to work feeding Spike and Gizmo.  UNBELIEVE how clear these pictures are.  MANY THANKS to Bill for his amazing work at getting these two pictures.

I have two cards to share with you today.  First up is Doll Babies (Brooke's) card.....
Brooke's congratulations card is for graduation to the next level in her karate.  She promoted to Brown Belt and has advanced into the upper level of her Karate Leadership group.
So......I stamped her this darling Karate Girl stamp that I have......and colored the suit red (for her leadership colors).....and gave her a BROWN BELT!
A sweet little Congratulations from the "Curly Cute" stamp set........
And I even tied it off with a chocolate brown piece of ribbon on the front of her card.  The real magic was the McDonald's gift card that I added to the inside of the card.........Just know that's going to make my Doll Baby say....."I just LOVE NaNa!
And my last card share is the one that I made for Steven.  I didn't want him to be left out on all the fun of receiving a card in the mail.....OR....the McDonald's gift cards that everyone else received.  So I made Steven this cute "Just Because" card.
I stamped this darling little monster from my sash and colored him with green and purple markers.  I also added some yellow eyes and finished him off with some orange teeth and toe nails.
I used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade cardstock......figured it needed to be BRIGHT and HAPPY.  Think I knocked this one out of park.  Steven is going to love this card.
But most of all.....He will LOVE the McDonald's gift card that is tucked inside.

Well....I'm off to host my Stampin' UP! Open House today.  I have LOTS going on.........LOTS of ladies showing up.........and I still have LOTS to do.  I'll be back tomorrow to begin sharing some of the sample cards and projects that I've made for my Open House.  Hope you can come back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!
