Happy Tuesday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is 'CASE IT TUESDAY'. That means today I have a fun little 3-D project that I found on the internet ....... And I created a CASE of that project to share with you today. This project was SUPER FUN to create and want to jump right in and share that project with you now.
This project was inspired by an Australia demonstrator Denita Wright.
She shared this project on her blog (http://denitawright.blogspot.com/2019/06/just-add-ink-just-add-two-challenge-463.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DenitaWright-IndependentStampinUpDemonstrator+%28Denita+Wright+-+Independent+Stampin%27+Up%21+Demonstrator%29) but did not share how to create this darling little project.
So.....I got busy and created a template for this little project.
I started out with a 4-3/4"x10-3/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I scored the 4-3/4" side at 1-1/2" on both ends. Then I scored the 10-3/4" side at 1-3/8, 4-3/4, 6-1/8 and 9-5/8.
I snipped away the two end tabs and then created tabs for the remainder of each scored section.
Here's what the looks like when all the tabs are scored and snipped.
To assemble the box, I added adhesive on the four tabs.....
And then closed up my box.
I used the 'Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper' to cover my box. The top of the box is a 3-1/4"x1-1/2" piece. Two pieces that measure 3-1/4"x1-1/4" were used to cover the long sides of the box. And two pieces that measure 1-1/4"x1-1/4" were used to cover the small sections on the side.
I used the 'Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack' to wrap a pretty Linen bow around my box.....
And the 'Best Catch' set was used to create my sentiment.
Just couldn't be happier with the way this project turned out.
Thanks Denita Wright for the inspiration.
Thanks for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow to share a Wine Down Wednesday card with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share. Keep Living Your Dream!
The petal pattern of the paper is charming with the crumb cake box!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary. I love the color combination too.
