Gingerbread House Brag Book

Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends!
Today is the 12th Annual NaNa Gingerbread House Decorating Party (in Wisconsin).  I will have a front row seat from my cozy studio here in Arizona.........MANY THANKS to Skype.  Hopefully I will have some fun pictures to share with you soon.......but for today......I have the special little 2013 Gingerbread House Brag Book that I made.
This is what I'll be sending to each of my girls ....... once I have pictures to insert into the tabbed pockets.......of each of the kids working on their 2013 Gingerbread Houses.
I made one of these for each of my daughters........
And one for myself!
I used the new SU Punch Board to create my holder and added a tabbed cardstock piece to slide into each of the five holders I created.  (I made one holder for each of the five Wisconsin grandkids.....and YES......Twoie is even going to be joining in on the FUN this year!)
Here is what the front of my Gingerbread brag book looks like.....
And what the tabbed cardstock piece looks like when you remove it from the holder.  I will be adding a picture of each of the kids on these tabbed cardstock pieces and on the back I will be including a reduced-down picture of the gingerbread house they colored as their admission to the 12th Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party.
I have been collecting gingerbread house and gingerbread men stamps for the past 12-years......and this set was used on the front cover.
I also found these ADORABLE little stuffed gingerbread men cuties and added them to the ring of my Gingerbread Bread House brag book holder.
Here's what the second page looked like......
And another stamped and embossed gingerbread man for the front of this pocket.
 Here's a close-up of that gingerbread man.
And the tabbed cardstock insert removed and ready for one of the kids pictures to be added to it.
Here's the third pocket.....
Just a fun "Gingerbread" statement that has been embossed with some Whisper White embossing powder.
And here's the fourth pocket......
I embossed this gingerbread man with Whisper White embossing powder onto some Chocolate Chip cardstock....and then used the 2-3/8" scallop punch and backed it onto a Whisper White circle that was punched out using the 2-1/2" circle punch.
 Here's a close-up of that gingerbread man.......
It's amazing how great the scallop circle looks with the scallops pierced out.
And a picture of the tabbed pocket piece removed from that pocket.
And here's the fifth and final pocket.
I embossed two gingerbread men and fussy cut out those two cuties and popped them up onto a Cherry Cobbler panel with dimensional adhesive.
Here's a close-up of the two gingerbread men.......
And the tabbed cardstock piece removed from that pocket.
And for the back of my gingerbread brag book.........
I added a large gingerbread man!
I colored in his cheeks and buttons with some red ink and then used Crystal Effects to gloss those areas up.
And here's what my Gingerbread Brag Book looks like when it's fanned open.
I just can't wait to get some pictures from my girls.......So I can fill each tabbed section with a picture of each of my grandkids working on their 2013 gingerbread house.
So there you have it friends........A fun little brag book that will be perfect to store the precious pictures of the 12th Annual NaNa's Gingerbread House Decorating Party.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share with you the sweet little Thank-You gift that I made for a few of my SaddleBrooke friends.......Hope you can stop back tomorrow and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

  2. OMGosh Kadie! These are adorable and A-MA-ZING! I will have to look at our local craft shop for Gingerbread stamps for you. They have a whole corner of used stamps that people sell on commission. Your Brag Books are such great memories for 'everyone'; not just the children. So much great detail.
I better go. Today is Hubby's BDay. My Mom always made him his FAVE- Angel Food Cake. So, I am going to attempt to make one from a box mix. Don't laugh too hard, remember, I ruin box mixes too!
    Have BIG fun!
