April Stamp Camp Card #1

Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
It's the third Thursday of the month (MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE MONTH!)......and that means I just finished up my Stamp Camp Event for April.  Over the next four days.....I will be sharing the four cards that we made at April Camp.  Let me first share with you a picture of all four cards......
Our theme for April was All Occasion Cards (with a TWIST)!  So each of the card had some special twist or fold design.  Let me share my first Twisted Fold Card with you.........

This card is all over the internet right now......My inspiration comes from Kelly Gettlefinger who shared this technique last fall.
We used the Layered Label "Congratulations" set and die cut it using the Apothecary Accent Framelits.  We matted our label onto a square of black cardstock and then punched out two 1" circle punches in black and adhered them right behind our black cardstock.  It honestly looks like our black matted frame was cut out to the shape of our Apothecary Accent diecut.......and all it took was adding a 1" black circle.
Here's what the card looks like when you open the front twisted flap of our card.
And here is a view of what our card looks like when it's opened up and a sweet little gift card is added to the inside pocket.
We used the First Edition DSP and Real Red Cardstock for each of the panel on our card.....And our base card is made with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
To create this card.......take your 4-1/4"x11" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and place it on your paper trimmer.  Using the SCORE BLADE......position your upper right hand corner and your bottom left hand corner into your trimmer and SCORE along the 11" side of your Very Vanilla cardstock.  FOLD OVER your scored line.......and then you will place the flat edge of your Very Vanilla cardstock against the bottom of your trimmer and using the SCORE BLADE - score your cardstock at the center point where your folds cross over each other. This will give you the twisted score line to complete your Twisted Fold Card.
The real magic of this card came together when before we adhered any of our pieces down.....We sponged all pieces with some Basic Black ink on a Stampin Sponge.  Totally gave our card an awesome look.

Thanks for joining me today......I'll be back tomorrow with the second card we made at my April Stamp Camp.  Hope you can make plans to come back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!
