SW Stampers Door Prize

Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
I'm at a FULL RUN today as I prepare for this weekends Scissors and the City Retreat in Tucson.  I plan to meet five of my Phoenix girlfriends at the Hilton Garden Inn on Friday afternoon......and we have a FULL WEEKND planned out.   We will be doing some serious papercrafting ........ LAUGHING ....... and los of CATCHING UP!   So let's jump right in with my share for today.........

Here is the fun little door prize gift I made for my SW Stampers meeting on Tuesday!  It was a little portfolio filled with 4x6 notecards. (Congrats Teresa for being the lucky winner of my gift!)
I created the perfect belly band closure for my portfolio......Using the Flower Shop stamp set and the coordinating punch!
Here's what my portfolio looked like after removing the belly band.
I made two Calypso Coral note cards.......
That were embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.....
And had two Crisp Cantaloupe Flower Shop images stamped on the front.
I also made two Crisp Cantaloupe cards.
That used the Fancy Fan embossing folder on the front panel.....
And the two Flower Shop images were stamped out using Calypso Coral ink.
Here's what both the cards looked like!
The portfolio was designed to only hold a total of four cards......
And close-up nicely without bending or denting any of the cards.
To make this portfolio you start with a 9-1/4" x 7"-1/2" piece of Calypso Coral cardstock.  You score on the 7-1/2" side at 2" and 2-1/4".  You then score on both ends of the 9-1/4" sides at 1/4", 1/2" and 4-1/4".  Once you have one end of your 9-1/4" cardstock scored.......Remove it from your score board and flip it to do the exact same scoring on the opposite side.
You will want to make a few snips out of the scored sections......First snip out on the 1/4" and 1/2" scored section the little 1/4" section that is in the center of this scored piece  (this will create the tabs that will secure your sides of the portfolio).  And you will also snip out on the 2-/14" and 2" scored section the center section (this will create the center tab that will create your two pockets for the inside of your portfolio).

All that is left to do is attach sticky tape to the outside edge of the four tabs you created.......(this will create the side walls of your portfolio) and also flip your portfolio over....and you will add sticky tape to the inside 2" tabs to form your bottom pocket.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share my SW Stampers October swap project with you......Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!
