Friday Share

Happy Happy Friday My Blogger Friends!
Countdown to Grandkids Arriving = 63 days to go!
Today I have a fun little share that my good friend Kris Holmes taught at our last Saturday FunShop for the SaddleBrooke Stampers.  TOTALLY FUN and I learned a TON of new techniques and tricks along the way.  Let's get started.......
The FunShop was learning how to make and create different types of Rosettes and let me tell you ...... there are a ton of ways to make rosettes out there.  Kris gave us the 411 on making rosettes with both dies and with a Simply Scoring Board.  Here are the two projects we made.
The first rosette project was a 3x3 card sample that Kris actually shared with us at our 3x3 card exchange in March.  LOVE EVERYTHING about this card.
Kris prepared the rosette from a Tim Holz die and even provided us with all the material to make this fabulous card (MANY THANKS KRIS for providing us with all the supplies).
All we needed to do was assemble the rosette ....... Stamp the two images and then adhere the rosette to the front of our card.  This card would be perfect to make up a little purse and pop a half dozen of these little cuties in the purse as a thank you gift for that someone special.  LOVE THIS CARD (sorry if I'm repeating myself - but to see this card in person is to SERIOUSLY LOVE IT!).
Our next project was to bring a sheet of 12x12 double sided DSP and we were making our own rosette.   Kris provided the stick for our rosette and I ended up wrapping ribbon around my stick for a little extra "pink".
I used some retired SU DSP and had my granddaughter in mind when I made this rosette.  Guess what ...... It never ended up being sent to her - I've tucked it into my flower vase by my front window and it has stayed there for me to enjoy (she will probably claim it when she gets here in June).
And this is the reverse side of my rosette.......Just as cute as the pink side!
Adding some ribbon behind the smaller rosette gave this side of the rosette the pop it was looking for.  I seriously think that the magic starts with the buttons and ribbons that you add to your rosette as those final touches.  MANY THANKS to my good buddie Kris Holmes for teaching us this amazing FunShop ...... I know everyone had a great time and we appreciate all the hard work that you put into offering this FunShop to us.

Many thanks for joining me today - I'm off to get a jump on the cards for April Stamp Camp.  I decided that April Camp is going to be ALL BIRTHDAY CARDS......and May will be a designer holder (purse of some type of holder) and then we will make 4-cards to tuck inside our holder that are all based around spring flowers.  I have the image planned out in my head and if it turns out half as cute as what's in my head........Stamp Camp for both April and May are going to ROCK SADDLEBROOKE!

I'll be back tomorrow to share the Easter Treats that I will be delivering bright and early tomorrow morning - Hope you can come back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!
