Card for Daughter - Challenge Day 5

Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
Today is Day 5 of the InkBig Week Long Card Challenge.  I have a SUPER FUN Coffee Card that I will be sending out today to my oldest daughter Cheryl.  She has a husband that works LONG HOURS.........She holds a FULL TIME Accounting Job............Has Three Kids that are in every sport/after school event known to man (which means they turn to their mom to get them to each of those sporting/after school events)...........and she holds SO MANY volunteer positions that I think coffee is that something that keep her GOING (or she has coffee running through her veins)!!!!!  Check out this fun card I made for her..............
I used the new Early Espreso Core'dinations sandable cardstock for my background panel and ran it through my Big Shot using the new Alphabet Press Embossing Folder.  This Early Espresso embossed panel was then adhered down onto a Whisper White base card.

My three flags were made from the Regals and Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stacks.  I used the Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler sheets.  Creating a flag banner ends is super easy with the help of my paper snips and two quick cuts to the center of my DSP.
Here's a close-up of the Early Espresso Core'dionations cardstock after it was run through my Big Shot with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder.  If you haven't tried our new Stampin' Sanding System (P157).......I have to tell you that I'm HOOKED on this amazing little tool.  The very fact that I will NEVER have to replace my sanding block again puts the YIPPIEE SKIPPIE in my step!
My coffee cup was stamped from the new Perfect Blend stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock.  I jazzed it up with a Starbucks sticker label that I had in my stash.  I used a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for my coffee cozy .......... and made sure that I ran it through my "trusty OLD Crimper" before adhering it down onto the stamped coffee cup.
The sentiment is from the same Perfect Blend stamp set........and is the PERFECT sentiment for my daughter.  (I myself think she rules the world.......but I'm just her "MOM"!)
The last little touch to this fun card will be a Starbucks gift card.  I will tuck that to the inside of her card and write her a sweet little message that is JUST FOR HER!

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share the card I made for Day 6 of the InkBig Week Long Card Challenge.  Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

  3. Wow...this is neat. I haven't tried sanding yet. I am a huge coffee drinker and love the sentiment and the cup. Cute! The alphabet folder looks really neat sanded like that. And, goodness, what a neat idea to run the cozy thru a crimper. An absolutely perfect cup. I was going to say, the only thing missing is the coffee; but, you have that covered too with the gift card. I have made flag banners before; but, my ends never come out even. Yours are soooo perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!
