Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
Day 20 (or could be Day 21) of My Hummingbird Update......
And then there was ONE......
Well it was official..........Spike has left the nest and that left Gizmo to work on his flapping skills. Not sure when Spike left the nest ..... thinking it was Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning. This is what I spotted when I woke up to on Wednesday morning. I was hoping that Gizmo would QUICKLY figure out it's better to be part of the PACK and get his wings flapping,
And now there are NONE........
Gizmo left the nest Wednesday afternoon right before noon. Jack said he looked up from his chair and Gizmo was taking flight. OH MY GOSH.....we are official....EMPTY NESTERS! Jack told me that shortly after Gizmo flew away Momma Goldie came back and was trying to feed the babes and then realized there wasn't anything in the nest but feathers........Jack said she looked around wondering where she left her babes and then flew away. We haven't seen Goldie return back to the nest.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT FRIENDS! My 21 day adventure of capturing a true miracle from the comforts of my living room window. I have been blessed to have been a part of this and I'm hoping that Spike and Gizmo find wonderful adventures and even come back to RE-USE the nest. MANY THANKS to all who have been following this adventure with me.....I appreciate all your wonderful comments and for all the entertainment my little hummer provided you over the last couple of weeks.
My card share for today is using the new Gingham Garden DSP and the Forever With You stamp set.
I used the new In-Color ink Strawberry Slush for the "wherever" words on my Forever With You stamp set.....and the remainder of the letter used my Island Indigo ink.
My Window Framelits created the perfect focal image for my sentiment and all that was left to do was add a Rhinestone to each of the corner of my Island Indigo frame.
I also punched out a Pear Pizzazz Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and added a tiny piece of Island Indigo cardstock through the center of the border punch and adhered that to the center of my card. It joined the four square DSP pieces together and gave my card that little something something it was needing.
Many thanks for joining me today.......I'll be back tomorrow to share another new product card with you. Keep Living Your Dream!
What a wonderful miracle you got to witness with those little hummers. And that both of them made it is great!! Thanks for sharing it with all of us too.

ReplyDeleteKadie,
ReplyDeleteI started following late, but I feel blessed just the same to have read about those sweet little hummers! Thank you so much for inviting us in to witness such a miracle -- I've always loved hummingbirds. Their size and might are fascinating, and I love being in the midst of their migration and feel the whirr of their little wings as they fly by -- it's like a rapid heartbeat. There's no other feeling quite like it... again, thank you. Love and blessings to you and Jack!
I'm always a day behind, but am so encouraged that you post daily with incredible projects and these Hummer updates have been so awesome! Bon Voyage Hummers! So thankful they were both alive and healthy to enjoy this new life!
