Happy Friday My Blogger Friends!
Today's card is one that I learned to do while visiting a fellow Stampin' UP! Demonstrators blog. Dawn showed how to create this fun sunburst card and I knew the minute I saw it......I was going to make a bunch of these. Check out this super awesome card........
The measurements for this card are a base card of 4-1/4"x 11....Scored at 5-1/2". You will then need a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock that measures 3"x5-1/4".
Next you will need to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 3"x5-1/4" and that is going to be the piece you layer your DSP onto. Use your score tool to lightly score at 2-1/2" and this is going to be a guide for you to use to line up your DSP sunburst pieces. To make the starburst pieces ..... you start with a 1-1/2" x 4" piece of DSP......I used Stampin' UP! All Abloom for mine.
You cut the 1-1/2"x4" pieces of DSP in half......but doing so from the top left edge of the DSP to the bottom right hand corner. This creates the sunburst sections of your card.
I stamped the #hello stamp set with Strawberry Slush ink......and then matted it onto a Island Indigo Scallop Circle piece.
So there you have it friends.......a darling card that comes together in a SUPER SNAP! I liked this card so much........I made it for my swap card for this Saturday's Unite and Excite Conference at the Pima County Fairgrounds.
What a gorgeous starburst card Kadie. I love all the different DSP's and the embellishment with the #Hello stamp set. May have to get that one!!! I love that striped circle. Thanks for sharing Kadie and the directions.
ReplyDeleteThis may be one of my favorite sunburst cards every. The patterns and colors are so splashy and it's perfect with the modern sentiment!
