Quail Crosing - Arizona Style

Sorry for the NON-STAMPING post today.....Just had to share a couple pictures I took of this funny Quail looking for his (her) mate.......... Here the little fellow is marching around our Ramanda area just looking for someone or someplace to hide out.........

This little guy must have walked past this area a dozen times.....and then......

He still wasn't sure where he wanted to go......

FINALLY.....he juped up into one of our pots and was getting settled in...when.....he heard something.......

He didn't stay put for too long........but when he came back.....he wasn't alone.

The quail run wild out here in Arizona........they are the funniest bird.....they would rather RUN across the payment then fly. They little feet get moving so gosh darn fast - that you swear they are going to be airborne at any moment.....but no.......they stay on the ground and just book across the ground.
