Get Well Wishes From Opal

It's Wednesday and the weekend is so close I know you'all can taste it.....Well....me TOO! Today is weigh in day at Weight Watchers.....I'll report in tomorrow on my stats! But....for today, I'm going to share a get well card I received from my Brooke Buddie Opal..... I seriously wish I could have captured the beauty of this card.......It honestly is SO BEAUTIFUL in person......but I'm going to try to describe the details.....Here is Opals card and what made this card so lovely was the clear window sheet that Opal used to stamp her lady image on.....

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Get Well Soon sentiment.......but the real beauty is the old fashion flapper lady that she stamped and put a piece of clear window sheet over......Check it out.....

There just wasn't a shot of this lovely lady that didn't just scream with a glare....so...this is about as good as it gets. TRUST ME.......It is so beautiful in person! I also want to know where Opal got the ribbon that she used on this card.....I'm hoping that she didn't sneak into a store that we were shopping and buy the last roll......Very FUN and SASSY ribbon Opal (now tell me....where did it come from).

Just TWO MORE DAYS till my BFF and I leave to attend the CK Convention. We have signed up for three classes on Saturday and the late night crops on both Friday and Saturday.....We are serioulsy going to get some of those grandbaby pictures scrapped. We also have to attend the show...which will provide us with unlimited stuff to buy......and a trip to Hobby Lobby and Scrapbook Etc is a must! Luckily we are taking her BIG SUV - so we can load up the back with all our finds!

I'm off to get some more packing done for the convention......Lordy I want to take everything and have to scale down.......

Another Get Well Card

It's Tuesday and only three more days to go until I leave for my CK Convention weekend.....I'm busy getting all my pictures printed and page layouts gathered......There's a LOT of work that goes into planning a scrapbooking weekend. But.....an entire weekend dedicated to scrapbooking is what I call a GOOD TIME! Today I'm going to share another Get Well Card I received a few months ago when I was sick.....and by the beautiful job of coloring....You guessed it......My BFF made me this card! The tissue box is NOT DSP....It's colored in by Jan with her Copic Markers.....Check out the detail...

Does Jan not do the most amazing job with coloring (I know.....I know.......I must sound like a broken record....but sometimes the truth just needs to be shouted from the roof top!).

I just love how Jan stuck a real kleenex in the tissue box......I just squealed when I opened this card up.

And I leave you today with the larger than life Asprin that Jan popped up on my card. TOO CUTE!

Get Well Card from BFF

Happy Monday Blogger Friends......I am SO HAPPY today! Our weather here in Arizona has finally turned to SERIOUSLY HAPPY WEATHER. The temp and skies are back to how Arizona should be - Warm and Bright! NO RAIN and TEMPERATURES are warming up to the high 80's and 90's by the end of the week. Today I want to share a darling card that my BFF made for me a few months ago when I was sick. Isn't this card just the cutest? You really need to check out the coloring Jan did with her Copic markers on this card.........

Every single time I receive a card from Jan......I think......I want to be like her when I grow up! She seriously uses her Copic Markers to make some amazing cards and the way she shades and blends the colors together is a work of ART!

Don't you just love how she colored in this little piggies face....and the quilt makes me feel all snug and cozie inside!

And here's one last pic of my amazing get well card. It seriously made me smile and everytime when I look at it I know I'm blessed to have Jan in my life.

I have more cards to share with you tomorrow.....Today, I'm off to the Ranch with my BFF for a scrapbooking class that Chris is putting on.......I'm so HAPPY to be getting back into scrapbooking.....Hope to share some creations with you soon. Gift from my BFF

Hi Blogger Friends and HAPPY Sunday to you! It's been VERY COLD here in Arizona the last couple of days.....COLD like in the LOW 50's! RAINING and SNOWING yesterday and I seriously never take naps and yesterday afternoon when Jack was out in the living room reading (surprise-surprise!) I curled up on the sofa and took a hour nap. HOW YUMMY was that! BUT the vacation is almost over....our weather is warming up as I type....and by Monday...we will be back to the 80's.....YAHOOOOO! So let's get busy and check out this amazing post I have scheduled for you today. My BFF Jan made me this A*D*O*R*A*B*L*E (and I do mean ADORABLE) pin holder yesterday.........I have been admiring these cute stick pins for some time.....and Jan came up with this sweet sweet holder for me to store them in......CHECK IT OUT.....

Two of my most favorite ingredients.....Pink and Pretty!

And she included a whole boat load of these fun little stick pins......They are just screaming for me to go create something.

Don't you just love the pom-pom (pink of course) that she wrapped around the jar!

And one last look at my amazing gift from (who I think is.....) the most amazing BFF! Thanks Jan for making this charming little gift for me.......I have it front and center on my studio desk and I'm going to try to get something created before we leave for CK convention this coming weekend.

Hope you have some fun things planned for today.....My neighbor is out of town and we are having her husband over for dinner tonight....so ..... I'm needing to put on my Betty Crocker apron and dream up something YUMMY for dinner. (wish me luck!)

Sketch Book

Hi Blogger Friends.......I'm back and sorry that I didn't post on Friday.....Life just sometimes gets in my way. It's funny ..... because as many of you know.....I go on 4-hours of sleep a night! And I always say.....I rarely say I just couldn't get it all done in my day. With only sleeping 4-hrs every night-I typically have LOTS of time to get things done. This past week was another story. I found myself coming as I was going....and at one point....I RAN INTO MYSELF. I'm hopefully back in the swing of things and hope to be posting regularly. Let's get started with my post for today....... I want to share a cute little project I learned from Kristina Werners blog.......She made these adorable sketch books and I just knew that I would have to be making these SOON! Here's what I came up with.....my own Idea and Sketch book for cardmaking. (I seriously made one for scrapbooking....but for the life of me.....I can't put my hands on it)These are super easy to make and the hard part is deciding how you want to decorate the cover of your book

Here's a close up of the bottom right hand corner of my sketch book......

Here's the inserts that you run off on your copy machine and by using a Close To My Heart stapler......the pages come together with no problems. I made my friend Nancy one for her scrapbooking sketches....but you think I would have taken a picture of it before I gave it to her??????? Well......I guess I didn't. I am planning on making a few more of these (for a certain somebody.....wink wink...you know who you are......) and giving it to her on an upcoming weekend.

Hope you have some fabulous plans for today......My BFF and I are getting together to have lunch and then attend a Fun Shop in the afternoon. Can't wait to see her......She's was busy this past week and we had ZERO time together (expect for our nightly chats through email) and I'm feeling like we need to catch up......Looking forward to spending the greater part of today with her.

Hi Blogger Friends! I'll be gone one more day....and back to my regular bloggin on Friday. I would like to do a Weight Watchers Weigh In......I'm down 2 more pounds as of yesterday - Making my total 27.4 pounds. I did find out yesterday that my total loss was 34 pounds and not 29 pounds. SO.....I have a total of 7 more pounds to go until I reach my lifetime goal........Not Bad For 14 weeks on Weight Watchers. See you tomorrow......and remember.....Keep Living Your Dream!
