Debbie's Birthday Gift

Happy Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends and today I want to share the birthday gift that I made for my good friend Debbie - Who celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday.  I ran over to Debbie's house at the Butt-Crack of dawn yesterday morning to drop off her birthday package at her mailbox.
Debbie's favorite color is blue ..... so I grabbed up my brightest blue gift bag and filled it with some super duper fun projects for Debbie.
The gift tag that I created for Debbie matches the gift that was tucked inside her gift bag.  I wrote a special little message on the back of her tag ...... Wishing her a super Happy Birthday!
Tucked inside her gift bag was the 6"x6" note holder purse that Dawn Griffith made January 20th.  Here is a link to Dawn's Blog/Video:

The 6x6 note holder purse has two pretty rosettes on the front flap and tucked inside are four special little notecards made special for Debbie.
I used the ZigZag edge of the new SU Designer Rosette Die and ended up cutting the size down and making a 1-1/4" and 1" rosette to put on the front of Debbie's purse.
The four notecards each had a coordinating piece of 1/4" grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the American Craft DSP.
And I used the new "A Word For You" stamp set from Stampin' UP!
I also included a RSVP pen that was wrapped with the same American Craft DSP I used to decorate the 6x6 purse and notecards.
I purchased a beautiful black journal for Debbie and used that to determine the size of the bookmark I wanted to make for her.  Knowing that Debbie also loves the color Red ...... I decided to make her bookmark with some retired 5/8" Stampin' UP! Grosgrain Stitched ribbon and also grabbed up a piece of the American Craft DSP to create the scallop image for Debbie's bookmark.
The Rosette was made from the new Stampin' UP! Designer Rosette die and the button was from Brights Designer Button Collection from Stampin' UP!
Have to tell you that I've been making these pretty notecard purses and matching bookmark for my girlfriends birthdays this year ..... but I honestly think that this one to Debbie is my ALL TIME FAVORITE so far.

Thanks for joining me today - I'll be back tomorrow to share the cards and projects that my FU Group (Fabulously Unique Group) made in January ...... Hope you can come back and join me for that share.
Keep Living Your Dream!
