Snowman Chums Tag

Happy Thursday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Tag Thursday.  Today, I will feature a tag I created and show you how easy it is to use minimal supplies to create a SUPER FESTIVE HOLIDAY TAG.  Now that you have the details for this weeks Tag Thursday ....... Let's jump right in with my tag share for today.......
Check out this darling little snowman that is coming out in the Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog tomorrow.
I started this tag off by creating some snow with three layers of Whisper White cardstock.  All I needed to do was tear the top edge of each Whisper White panel and then stack them together.  I quick swish with my Clear Wink of Stella Pen just added the right amount of frost to the top of my snow drifts.
Next I stamped this ADORABLE snowman from the 'Seasonal Chums' set (on page 47 of the holiday catalog).  And then I grabbed the coordinating 'Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies' and die-cut out my little snowman in a jiffy.
My sentiment was stamped from the same set and then punched out with the 1" and 1-1/4" circle punches.  I used the snowflake from the 'Merry Cafe' set (on Page 46 of the holiday catalog) to sprinkle my Soft Sky tag with some snowflake images.
And the final touch was topping my tag off with some of the new 'Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon' (on page 29 of the holiday catalog) ........ And I called this tag done!

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share some Friends Friday creations with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Hello Baby

Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Wine-Down Wednesday.  I have to admit.........I can't remember if I ever posted this card and figured it was one of those cards that is worth repeating.  This sweet little card offers inspiration and will provide you with some motivation to keep you moving through your busy week.  Let's jump right in with my card share for today........
From the moment I first saw this daring 'Moon Baby' set ........ I was IN LOVE!
I started this card out by stamping my sentiment with Basic Black ink and then matted with the Layering Oval Framelits.
Next it was time to stamp and pretty up the little baby.  I used the new 'Color Theory' Designer Series Paper Stack and stamped the umbrella onto that DSP and then fussy cut out the image with my Paper Snips.  The babies sleeper was colored in with my Watercolor Pencils and that's all it took to create this adorable floating baby.
I wrapped some Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon around the bottom of my card and tied it up into a pretty knot.  A tiny strand of Gold Sequin Trim was added behind the ribbon and this card was called done.
One final detail that you might have missed was what I did to the Whisper White layering panel.  I ran that through my Big Shot using the 'Petal Burst' Textured Impressions Embossing Folder' and that just created the right amount of softness and texture I was looking for to finish off this card.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow with a Tag Thursday creation to share with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Post It Note Pad For Your Purse

Happy Tuesday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is 3-D Tuesday.  That means today I have a fun little 3-D project to share with you.  This project is SUPER FUN to create and the product is featured in the 2017-2018 Stampin' UP! Annual Catalog.  Let's jump right in with my project share for today.......
This little 3x3 Post-It-Note pads are perfect for tucking into your purse.
Let's start out with the Powder Pink and Berry Burst one.....
I used the 'Label Me Pretty'' set along with the new 'Pretty Label' punch. to create this stunning sentiment label for the front of my holder.
The note pad is created with a 8" x 3-1/2" piece of Powder Pink cardstock ....... And I scored it at 3-1/4", 3-3/4" and 4-1/4".
And here is the Fresh Fig version I made.....
I'm just wild about how crisp and detailed this sentiment stamps out with the Fresh Fig ink.
And all you need to do is add a 3x3 pad of Post-it-Notes to the inside and you are GOOD TO GO!
I just love how these holders turned out ......
And I have to be honest.......
I always have one of these cuties tucked inside my purse.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a Wine Down Wednesday card creation with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your

Thanks Kindly Card

Happy Monday My Blogger Friends!
Today is normally Mix It UP! Monday and that is when I share an upgraded version of the Spot Light Sunday card that I normally would have shared with you yesterday.  But.......since I didn't share a Spot Light Sunday card yesterday ........ Instead, I joined up with my friends at Remarkable and InkBig to do a Blog Hop ....... (And honestly the card I shared yesterday just can't be upgraded) ...... So I decided my card share for today would be a special card I made for my Stampin' UP! customers.
This is the sweet little thank you card I will be sending out in August to all my customers who place an on-line order through my Stampin' UP! store.
The card is actually one of the Stampin' UP! notecards and I just cut 2" off the bottom front flap.
By cutting of that 2" ...... I was able to stamp this beautiful sentiment to the inside of my card and I sprinkle it with Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it.
I also used my Big Shot and the 'Layered Leaves' 3-D Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder to create some AMAZING TEXTURE on the front panel of my card.
I also created a Copper Foil and Crushed Curry daisy flower for the front of my card with the help of the new 'Daisy Punch'.
And a final touch was wrapping some 1/4" Copper Trim around the front flap and tied it up in a pretty bow.
So there you have it friends.  One of those special cards I love making each month as a way of saying thank you to my amazing Stampin' UP! customers.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a 3-D Tuesday creation with you ...... Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop
Welcome to the Blog Hop for August 2017. This month our theme is “THANK YOU CARDS”.  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog 'Kards by Kadie' or may have come from the person previous to me in the list.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.  At the moment you are visiting KARDS BY KADIE.
This pocket style card was inspired by the very talented Erica Cerwin.  I put my own twist on this pocket card and created this fun coffee thank you card.
The spin to this style card is it has a pocket slider card inside ...... That pocket card has a built in gift card holder section attached right to the card and a Starbucks gift card fits perfectly inside.
I began my card by cutting a piece of 'Coffee Break Designer Series Paper' to 10" x 7-1/2" and scored it at 2-1/2" and 7".  I grabbed my Gift Bag Punch Board and lined up the 2-1/2" score line at the 'Start Line' of the punch board and punched.  Now slide your DSP over and line up the 7" score line to that same 'Start Line' of the punch board and punched that too.  Use the 'Horizontal Line' section at the top of your Gift Bag Punch Board and score the entire top of your DSP (from left hand edge to right hand edge) using that 'Horizontal Line' guide.  All that is left to do to finish up the construction of your pocket card is to use your Paper Snips and cut off the 2-side tabs (both left and right tab) of your DSP.  That will leave you one center tab and that will be how you close up your pocket style card.
I cut a coordinating piece of the same Designer Series Paper to 3" x 10" and I used that to create the Belly Band for my card.
Here is the pocket insert I made for the inside of my card......
As you can see, I adhered three sides of my DSP to the bottom portion of my insert and that created an instant pocket for my Starbucks gift card to slide into.
Some quick stamping with the 'One Big Meaning Set' and my card was done and ready to go out in the mail to a dear friend.
Here's a quick peak at how I created the topper for my insert card.  I adhered a small piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon and 1/8" Sheer Ribbon to the top of my insert piece ........ And then I used one of the small 'Metal Rimmed Pearls' and that acts as a catch for each time I slide my insert piece into my pocket card.
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss.  Remember that currently you are at my blog – Kards By Kadie, so check the blog hop line up list below to see who is next in the list.

Hooray Fern Card

Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is Paper Pumpkin Saturday ........... And do I have a SERIOUSLY FUN CARD to share with you!  This card was created with the June Paper Pumpkin kit ........ And all I added was some extra cardstock to complete my card.  I'm thrilled with the way it turned out ............. Let me share that card with you now.
Who wouldn't LOVE to receive this card!
I used the Melon Mambo tissue paper that was included in this kit and matted it to a panel of Basic Black cardstock.
Then I stamped my HOORAY sentiment (that was included in this kit) and matted that piece to another panel of Basic Black cardstock.
Before I adhere this sentiment panel down to my card ........ I wrapped some Melon Mambo Baker's Twine around the top and that gave my sentiment the pop I was looking for.
All that was left for me to do was use my Black Stampin' Write Marker and I created some stitched lines around both of my Basic Black panel.  Then I was able to call this card DONE!
A simply perfect little card that is going to make someone smile big when they receive it.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a card I made for the Remarkable - InkBig Blog Hop with you ...... Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

There is just something special that made me fall in with not only the new Berry Burst In Color ....... But also the FABULOUS 'Colorful Seasons Bundle'.
So is there anything more FUN than the Adirondack chair that is in the 'Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies' set.  From the moment I saw this chair........I was IN LOVE!  So I die-cut the chair in Berry Burst and positioned it onto my Whisper White tag.
I added some grass for my chair to sit on .......
And stamped my sentiment with the 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' set using the Berry Burst ink.
My branch and flowers were stamped with the 'Colorful Seasons' set and I topped my tag off with some 1/2" Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon.
Just couldn't be happier with the way this tag turned out......
What do you think?
