3-D Tuesday - Suit Case

Happy Tuesday My Blogger Friends!
My blog post for today is 3-D Tuesday.  That means today I have a fun little 3-D project to share with you.  This project is SUPER QUICK and SUPER EASY to create.  Let's jump right in with my project share for today.
I made this special little notecard suitcase for Cheryl who worked at our local grocery store in the bakery department.  Both Jack and I have come to know Cheryl over the last 6-years and when she told us that she was leaving and moving to Las Vegas (to care for her mom)........I just knew I wanted to create something extra special for her.
This little suitcase was the perfect going away gift for her.
I used one of the Stampin' UP! clear cases and added some Early Espresso cardstock to cover the outside of the case and added some Crumb Cake cardstock to create the suitcase straps.
The handle was purchased from the hardware store and I just added it to the side of my clear case.
And of course the inside of her suitcase was filled with pretty All Occasion cards.
I made her two of each of these cards........
A Sympathy card ........
A Just For You card ........
A Birthday card ........
A Get Well card ........
And a Thinking of You card.
I made a special little pocket (from a small Crumb Cake envelope) and included a book of stamps.  Now all she needs to do is grab a card ....... jot a quick note and send it off to all those friends back in Tucson that I know she is going to miss.
So there you have it friends ........ A special little 3-D project that is fun to make and is the kind of gift that just keeps on giving.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share a Wine Down Wednesday card with you ........ Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

  1. Such a lovely project! The addition of the handle to make this a suitcase is ingenious! How did you attach the handle to the case? With screws or adhesive?

  2. Thank Debra for your sweet comment. I actually screwed the handles in with very small screws. (thought all I needed was a new battery pack for my cordless drill and turned out that after buying the new battery pack......I needed to buy a whole new drill. The funny part to this whole situation........Is that both Jack and my hands were meant to 'write checks'......And why-oh-why we even have a power tool in our home is pretty HILARIOUS!) At least now if I ever want to make another one of these......I have the drill to make the holes!
