Vintage Picture Frame

Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends!
Today I have a SUPER AWESOME Vintage Picture Frame that I made at the last Scissors and the City Retreat.  Check this little cutie out.......
I made this with just Designer Series Paper (DSP) ..... some Chip Board ....... A few Flower Embellishments .... and one small Metal Picture Frame.
The creator of this fabulous masterpiece is Sandy from Scissors and the City.  She designed this layout and offered a two hour class one afternoon during the March Scissors and the City Retreat.
The only thing I needed to go out and buy was the actual black picture frame.  I originally wanted a very vintage looking picture frame......but after searching high and low.....this is what I ended up with.  I honestly think it works for my house!
We created three different layers of DSP and for the top layer we cut an "x" in the center of the DSP and then curled back the ends and positioned a pretty vintage picture frame inside that space.
Here's a closer look at the two layers of DSP that were lifted up with dimensional adhesive.
Here's a look at what the bottom left hand corner looks like with a cluster of pretty prima flowers.
The vintage picture frame that we added to the center of our top layered DSP panel was distress with some alcohol inks to give it a vintage/aged look.
Here's another look at the two DSP layered pieces.
And a final look from above the picture frame.  This gives you an idea of all the dimension that is going on with this project.
So there you have it friends.........A fabulous creation that Sandy helped us make at the last Scissors in the City Event in March.  Our next event is scheduled for October......and I just can't wait to see what Sandy creates for that event.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share with you some fabulous watercolor cards I've been creating.............Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!
