Water Color Cards

Happy Friday My Blogger Friends!
I have an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT to share with you.  Please...........Save the Date for October 18th.  I will be hosting my second Saddle-UP! (for the holidays) event at the SaddleBrooke Activity Center.  I will be sharing more information with you soon.  Just wanted to make sure you got this date down on your October calendar.

Now on with my card share for today.  It's a card that was shared from the Stampin' UP! home office last month.  It's a quick and easy way to create GORGEOUS watercolor cards in a super FLASH!
Here are six samples of this gorgeous watercolor card........
And three additional cards that I created.
The technique uses a Stampin' UP! clear block and two different Stampin' Write Markers.
You spread ink from the Stampin' Write Marker......all over the clear block.
You then take a spritzer bottle and spray a light mist of water all over the block and then take your block and ink it down onto your Whisper White card base.  You will want to hold the block down onto your card base and allow the ink to be absorbed into your cardstock.  Make sure you don't rock or twist your block....You are going straight down and straight up with your inked up block.
You will need to let your card dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Once your card is dry.....take post it notes and attach directly to your card forming a blocked off section around the edges of your colored block section.
Once you have your post-it-notes in place......Take any floral stamp and ink it up with Black Statz-On and stamp it directly into the center of your colored block section.
You will then want to remove the post-it-notes and what will be left is a crisp and clean stamped floral image.........directly over your color block section.
The end results will be crisp clean lines on all four sides of your color block section.
Add a stamped sentiment right below your color block section.......Add some pretty ribbon to the bottom portion of your card.......And for a BEAUTIFUL finishing touch.......adhere a few sequins and pearls to the color block section.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share with you the cards that my Stampin' UP! down-line team made at our last team meeting.......Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

  3. You put on the most spectacular events. October's event will be another Kadie Labadie hit! Lovin' this card in it's simplicity and just the few sequins to give it a sparkly personality.
