Thanksgiving Mailbox Treats

Happy Turkey Day!
Today.......Jack and I are going to celebrate Thanksgiving in a very NON-TRADITIONAL way.  We will be making a Mexican Fiesta for our Thanksgiving dinner.  I'll be making tamales, street taco's, burrito's, refried beans and fried corn.  It's something DIFFERENT and FUN and we are hoping to start a new tradition in our household for Thanksgiving.

My share for today is the SUPER CUTE gift that I made for my SaddleBrooke friends for Thanksgiving.
This project was inspired by my Scissors and the City friend Terry.  She shared this project with me at our October event and I knew immediately that I wanted to create this project for my girlfriends for Thanksgiving.
The container is from the Dollar Store.......and is a salt and pepper container.
I filled the container with candy.....
And then wrapped it up in cello paper.

The REAL MAGIC came when I added raffia to the top of the container and that created an Indian Corn look......and all I needed to do was add a tag to my package.
I simply LOVE LOVE LOVE how this project turned out and want to say "THANK-YOU" to Terry for this wonderful mailbox treat.

Thanks for joining me today!  I'll be back tomorrow to share with you the swap card I made for my November Fabulously Unique group........Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

  1. This is so clever and cute. Great idea and thanks for sharing. We share Thanksgiving with my daughter in laws mom and this is her year to have it on the 28th. I will be having a brunch tomorrow for the family. So we aren't having the traditional day either. Your meal sounds so good.
