February SBS Challenge Card

Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends!
Hi Stamper Friends.  I have to tell you that my PLAY DAY in my studio REALLTY PAID OFF.  I was able to finish my CrafterNooners Exchange Card for March.......Made my Sunday Skype Card Packet for March 17th for my Granddaughter......I created a CUTE Baby card for Baby Devon.....Worked on creating a little girl Karate card for my youngest granddaughter.....Wrote up all my March Birthday cards.....And put a dent into a fun Mini Book that I started up at the Ranch on Monday.  VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY!

My share today is a special little SaddleBrooke Stampers Challenge Card that I made for our February meeting.  Every month, my good stamping friend Ann passes out a challenge packet that we take home and work to create something with the material that we have been given.  In February we were given a blank wedding invitation along with a large heart doilies and some ribbon.  Here is what I created with my packet of materials.....

I first began by cutting down the envelope and the large heart doilies and used the pieces to not only decorate my card....but also the front of my envelope.
I grabbed my "Oh Hello" stamp set and stamped (in Pretty in Pink) the "You're Invited" sentiment in the upper right hand corner and placed a string of pearl right below my sentiment.
In the upper left hand corner of my card I took the bottom point section of the heart doilies we were provided and adhered it to my card.  I sprayed not only the doilies but also one of the SU Paper Daisy flowers with some Pretty in Pink spritzer mixture.
I used one of the retired SU Hat Pins and a Vanilla Flower Trim for the center of my Paper Daisy embellishment.
The keys were from my stash....and I just strung them onto a small piece of bakers twine and wrapped them around the Vanilla Flower Trim in the center of my flower.
For the bottom portion of my invitation I took the upper section of my heart doilies and cut it in half and adhered those to the sides of my envelope.
I added some of the new 1-1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red around the bottom section of my card and tied a big pretty bow around my card.
A few pearl brads and a long string of pearls were added to the upper section of my envelope for a little added something something.

And for a final touch.....I added a row of pearls to the bottom section of my card.
I made sure that the pearls ran across the entire bottom edge of my card.
So there you have it friends.  I told my fellow SBS that I am blessed to have both of my daughters married to two of the most amazing young men in the world (one daughter has been married 18 years and the other daughter 16 years) ......and these invitations were NOTHING like what my daughters sent out announcing their upcoming wedding.

My invitations is OVER THE TOP and I think it would have been that little something something I created IF.........my daughters weddings didn't happen.  You might say it would have been  my announcement to those family members that they WEREN'T invited and we were going to PARTY without them!

Thanks for joining me today......I'll be back tomorrow to share with you the card I created for baby Devon.  I mailed my daughter a package with a couple baby items and I just had to make a special little card for Baby Devon.  Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!
