CraftJunkieToo Earth Day Post

Happy Happy Wednesday My Blogger Friends!
Countdown to Grandkids Arriving = 58 days to go!
Today I have a special CraftJunkieToo Crafty Designer Project Post to share with you.  Our fearless leader Tracy over at CraftJunkieToo (http://www.craftjunkietoo.com) requested that her Design Team Members create a project using "Recycled Material" in honor of Earth Day.  Here is what I started with.........
I went through a stack of cards I've received from some of my friends and was going to use the DSP from those cards to create a new card for this design team challenge.  Honestly.....the hardest part of this challenge was deciding which cards I was going to be okay with trashing.  All of the cards that my friends send to me are SPECIAL and even for the sake of "Recycling" it was a task that did not come easily for this old gal.
So after selecting six cards that I felt coordinating nicely together ...... I grabbed four of my circle punches and began punching different sized circle for my project.  The actual card I created is on the far right hand side of this picture.
I punched out five different circles - which included a 2-1/2" circle ...... 1-3/4" circle ..... 1-3/8" circle ...... and a 1-1/4" circle.  And here I am sharing the actual card that I submitted to Tracy at CraftJunkieToo (http://www.craftjunkietoo.com).
After I punched out each of the circle from my friends cards, all I needed to do was arrange those circle across my A2 card.  I created a trail of circle and added some dimensionals to back of the circles to add a little lift for my card.  I grabbed my black gel pen and adding some stitching around each of the circle to add that little WOW this card was needing.
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how the stitching makes this card scream FUN!
I grabbed a Paper Smooch Stamp Set and added my "friend" sentiment and my card was done in no time flat!
I'm thinking that I can still make a couple more cards from what I have left over.

So....what do you think?  Doesn't this sound like a great project to do or what!  But trust me ...... factor in some extra time in deciding which cards you will be using.
Please take a minute and head over to Tracy's blog (http://www.craftjunkietoo.com) to view all my fellow Design Team Member Earth Day Projects - I promise you.......You won't be disappointed.

I'll be back tomorrow to share my March Stamp Club Challenge cards with you ...... Hope you can join me for that share.  Keep Living Your Dream!

  1. Hi, I just today decided to see if I could find your blog so I could tell you I love your cards. Plus, I'm in AZ also, so I know you rock!! I love the recycled card. I'm going to have to take a sharp look at my stash so I can try the same.
