CraftJunkieToo Designer's Choice Project

Happy Wednesday friends and today I WELCOME many new friends from Tracy's blog over at CraftJunkieToo (http://www.craftjunkietoo.com/) . Thank You for stopping in to check out the project I submitted to Tracy for my July CraftJunkieToo Designer's Choice. Tracy asked her Design Team Members to make a project and use whatever material and supplies we wanted to use - so of course - I just had to pull out the SU InColors and a trusted oldie but goodie Big Shot Die......Let's get started........ Here's the project I submitted to Tracy - It's a notecard folio that has a custom box template (which I will share with you next.....) and also four adorable notecards that fit perfectly into the BigZ envelope die. Here's the template for my folio. I started with a 8-1/2" x 5-3/4" piece of Calypso Coral cardstock. I then scored it 1/2" on both sides of the short side of my cardstock. On the long side I scored it at 6-1/4", 5-7/8", 2-1/2" and 2". To make the folio I cut up to the 1/2" score line of each scored section to create the tabs I needed to secure my folio. DON'T CUT OUT THE TABBED SECTIONS COMPLETELY - JUST UP TO THE SCORE LINE. You will want to keep the tabs in place for a way of securing your box together.
Next up is a close-up of the folio I created. I used the new SU InColor Calypso Coral cardstock and with the same ink - I stamped the Delicate Dollies stamp all over the front of my folio. I added a 3/4" piece of Designers Series Paper from the Bright Collection to each end of my folio......and then I wrapped a Daffodil Delight 1-3/4" Grossgrain ribbon around the folio to create a bellyband to my folio box to secure itself closed. Here's a picture of my folio being opened up to reveal the notecards tucked inside. And here are the four little notecards that I tucked inside my folio. I know the notecards are suppose to steal the show - but I fell in love with this ribbon bellyband and the sweet little tag I created using the "Oval All" stamp set from Stampin' UP! I used linen thread to directly attach my little tag to the ribbon bellyband. I created these sweet little notecards using Daffodil Delight cardstock and used the Bright Collection DSP from SU to add a small piece down the center of my cards - and then I added a scallop oval and a stamped one of the images from the "Oval All" stamp set and called it a day. Here's a close-up of my little notecards - super cute and super fun! And one last look at the folio and matching notecard and envelope. SO FUN and SO READY to be sent off to a friend back in Wisconsin.
I would like to thank Tracy from CraftJunkieToo for allowing me the opportunity to be part of her Design Team - for without her - I wouldn't have been able to make so many new blogging friends and have this opportunity to spend some time with each of you. Please jump over to Tracy's blog and check out all the other projects that my fellow design team members submitted ( http://www.craftjunkietoo.com/) I Promise You.....You won't be disappointed!
THANK YOU for joining me today. I'll be back tomorrow to share some cards I recently made using new Stampin' UP! product - Hope you can return tomorrow to view those. Until Thursday....Keep Living Your Dream!
