Opal & Kadie's March Card

Yesterday was my weigh in day at Weight Watchers and YIPPIEE for me......I lost another 1.8 pounds.......and have reached 25.4 pounds. YAHOO....I'm only 3 pounds and 4 oz away from hitting my goal and then I'll be committed back to a Lifetime Weight Watchers member. I should be able to do that in the next two weeks! Today I will be sharing both Opal's and my March card for our Crafternooners. To recap - the color challenge was Navy and Silver...and the technique was using UTE powder. Here we go: Here's the cards that Opal and I made for the March challenge. Let's take a closer look!
This is the card that I made - I used UTE in White to emboss the rose and I then watercolored in the rose.
Here's a close up look at the rose I added to my card. The image is embossed with UTE powder and I water colored in the image.
And this is Opal's card........How FUN! I love how Opal used UTE to create a fabulous Sun!
Check out a close-up of the sun Opal created. She said that she heated the embossing powder up and pressed her sun stamp into the heated embossing powder for a few seconds and then pulled it out. It created a really fun 3-D image into the embossing powder. HOW FABULOUS is this!
I have to say that all the girls did an amazing job in meeting the challenge for March....Their cards were fabulous and I appreciate all the hard work they put into their cards. THANKS LADIES!
Hope you can stop back tomorrow.......Keep Living Your Dream!

March Cards from Jan & Berta

Happy Wednesday my Bloggers Friends ...... It's weigh-in day for me at Weight Watchers! I'll report in tomorrow with my total (FINGERS CROSSED THAT I'LL REACH 25 POUNDS TODAY). SO....on with today's cards: Here are the two cards I received from Jan and Berta for our March Crafternooners card challenge. Our challenge was to make a card using Navy and Silver and our technique was to use Ultra Thick Embossing (UTE) powder. First up is Berta's card. Her UTE was used on the centerpiece of her card.
Here's a close-up of her UTE.......
And here is Jan's card.........I LOVE how she used the UTE to create a cracked glass image on her floral centerpiece image.
Here's a close-up of Jan's cracked glass image. WOW!
Hope you enjoyed Jan and Berta's cards today............They worked super hard in meeting this months challenge and did an amazing job. Tomorrow I will show you both Opals and my challenge card for March. Hope to see you tomorrow........Keep Living Your Dream!

March Crafternooners Cards

It's Tuesday my Blogger Friends and I want to share with you today the cards that my Crafternooner Stamping Friends made last Friday. We typically make four cards - but Opal is out of town and it was just Berta....Jan and myself at this months Craternooner's gathering.
First up is Jan's card.......we used embossing powder and VersaMark and created this amazing card in colored steps. We first covered our entire image with VersaMark ink and then added the blue sky embossing powder....SET THAT......then added the sand embossing powder....SET THAT and then used our aqua emobssing powder to get the water color onto our image.
Here's a close-up look at the image.
And here is Berta's card.......How beautiful is this! The card is an envelope type card and we cut out the scallop edge and tied it down with some hemp and brads.
Her's a close-up of the butterfly that I colored in.......Just lovely!
And here is my card.......A special little card using the SU tulip embossing folder and SU DSP. This card makes a great Thank You.....Thinking of You.....Get Well....etc kind of card.
Thanks for stopping by today....I'll be back tomorrow with a couple cards that Jan and Berta made for me. Hope you can stop back tomorrow to see what they made for me. Keep Living Your Dream!

Cheese Head Card

It's Monday and we are all geared up for another FUN WEEK! I received this really FUN Chicky Card from my Stamping Friend Ann on Saturday. How FUN is this...... I fell in love with this card when Ann shared it at our February Stampers Club meeting. When I saw the cheese head sitting on the Chicks head I just squealed "I want that stamp"..........
Check out how cut this Wisconsin Cheesehead looks on the Chick......
Here's a close-up of the cheesehead.........
And to my surprise......Ann included SEVERAL stamped cheeseheads inside this Thank You card she made me......SCORE.....BIG TIME!
I just can't wait to use these little babies up. I'm seriously going to have some fun creating a few great cards with these Wisconsin Cheeseheads. THANK YOU Ann for your fabulous Thank You card and for tucking the extra stamped cheeseheads for me to use in my own "Cheesehead" creations. LOVE IT!
Enjoy your day and tomorrow I'll be posting a couple of cards that my Crafternooner friends made this past Friday. Keep Living Your Dream!

Jan's FUN SHOP

Happy Sunday my Blogger Friends. Hope you have some wonderful plans for today and I would like to thank you for spending a few moments with me. Today, I want to share with you the three cards my BFF had us make yesterday at another SaddleBrooke Fun Shop. We were learning how to do paper piecing at this Fun Shop..... Here are the three cards that we made at the Fun Shop.........
This first card was made with a couple Hero Arts stamps and we cut out the flower and raised it onto this card. The zig zag flower stamp was placed on the center of this whisper white card and a fabulous "thank you" was stamped right on top of the zig zag stamped image.
This cute little girl card allowed us to cut out the blue gingham dress and piece it onto the little girl. We colored in her body parts with flesh tone colored pencils and gave her several shades of brown hair to make this one of my favorite cards we made yesterday.
And the last card we made was from a throw that Jan keeps in her living room and she put that throw on her copy machine and printed out sheets of this for our chair card. This just shows that we can use things around our house to make designer series paper from them and then use that paper for paper piecing. FABULOUS!
Thanks for stopping by today.....I'll be back tomorrow with a very special card that my stamping friend Ann made for me......It is going to make you SMILE big time. Hope to see you tomorrow - Keep Living Your Dream!

SBS Card

Happy Saturday my blogger friends. Hope you have some fabulous plans for today. I'll be joining many of my SBS (SaddleBrooke Stamper Friends) today and taking a paper piecing class that my BFF is teaching.....can't wait! I'll post those pictures tomorrow for you. But today I want to share a cute little card I made for our SBS April meeting. Let's GO......(if your a SBS you might want to SHUT IT DOWN right now - otherwise....you won't be surprised when I present this at our April meeting.......) We were given this cute little wicker basket (it had a handle but I knew I wanted to add the SU chocolate bunny to mine - so I removed it) by Ann, our Challenge Card Coordinator....and we were challenged to make a card and use this stamped image....so...here's what I created.
My chocolate bunny was stamped in VersaMark and then clear embossing powder was added to make him super shiny......almost good enough to eat!
As you can see.....I used the new SU Tulip embossing folder along with a non-traditional Easter message (think this will be going to a Nursing Home Friend before Easter).
And here is the basket that was stamped for us and we were to use in our challenge card. I added some SU ribbon and ran some Old Olive cardstock through my crimper and created some fun grass for my basket.
And a quick shot of the eggs I created. I pressed VersaMark onto the cardstock and sprinkled clear embossing powder over the cardstock and then heat set it.....this created a shiny paper that I then cut out oval shapes to make Easter Eggs from. LOVE how that turned out!
And one last view of my completed card.......I just know my friend will enjoy receiving this card and I just might make a couple more of these to send to my grandkids for Easter. I'm sure I can find a cute "Happy Easter" stamp to add to their cards.
Tomorrow, I'm hoping to post the 3-cards that my BFF is teaching today at our Fun Shop. Hope you can return tomorrow to see those. Until Sunday.......Keep Living Your Dream!

FUStamping Group

Morning Blogger Friends and NO.....my title does not stand for F*U*........It's short for my Fabulously Unlimited Stamping Group. I meet once a month with three very talented stampers in my SaddleBrooke neighborhood and we do a shoebox swap. This month we met at my house and here are the four cards we made.......... I will share with you each of these very talented ladies and give you a general overview of their card and how we put it together.
First up is my good stamping buddy Debbie. I just can't believe that Debbie just started stamping and I'm blown away with how quickly she has picked up the stamping bug. Debbie stamped out this lovely Hero Arts flower stamp and then we used Copic Markers to color our flower in. WHAT FUN.......Not only was it fun trying out the Copic Markers but the card turned out so nicely that I can see using this as a template for many of my SU stamp sets.
Next up is my friend Kris and this ADORABLE Easter Bunny Tree card. We used the Easter Bunny stamp as our base and then stamped the tree and added in carrots and tiny bunnies to create a really fun Easter card. I know this one is going to my granddaughter who will squeal when she receives it (she loves bunnies). I even used the tiny bunny stamp set to stamp a "Hallmark" image on the back of my card.
And last....but certainly not least....is my SaddleBrooke Stamper (and fellow Packer Backer) friend Ann. Check out this fun little card that Ann had us make..........
The ears fold up to reveal this cute cute cute Easter Bunny. We used pink chalk to color in our little bunnies ears and cheeks....We used a black marker to add the whiskers and smiley mouth and we used pink gingham ribbon to top off a cute little bow for our bunny. This card will be going to my other Granddaughter who also loves bunnies.....she is going to love receiving this card.
We had a fabulous day stamping and playing and the best part of our get together is learning tips and tricks on new product and sharing our talent with each other. I'm blessed to be connected with this FUN group of ladies.
I'll be back tomorrow with a FUN Saturday share - Hope you can stop back something on Saturday and join me. Keep Living Your Dream!

Thank You Kris

Hi Blogger Friends and Happy Thursday to you. First up....My Weight Watchers Weigh In....I'm down another 1.4 pounds.....I'm only 5.4 pounds away from my goal of 29pounds.....Hoping to reach that goal in three weeks. YIPPIEE FOR ME! Now....On With The Show! Today I want to share a fabulously BEAUTIFUL card I received from my Stamping Friend Kris. She brought this card over to me today at our Fabulously UnLimited .... or FU group for short (I'll be sharing those cards tomorrow with you. Anyway....Kris had made me this Fabulously BEAUTIFUL card today and I know the moment I saw it....That it would be spot-lighted on my blog this morning.
Here's a close-up of the SpellBinders Fancy Tags that she used for her "Thank You". How lovely is this die? This is a special little find that Kris found up at the Mesa convention and she told me today that SpellBinders has started backordering these dies because there is such a demand for the die ....... they just can't keep the product in stock.
And here is the flower that Kris made using the SpellBinders Donna Salazar dies. This one is either the Carnation Creations or the Rose Creations die. I know that Kris reads my blog every morning so maybe she can leave us all a message in the comment section of this post to clarify which die it was she used. Kris told me that she used brown kraft wrapping to make this flower. How fabulous is this! (7am update.....Kris just contacted me and the flower was made with the Rose Creation Die)
Thank You Kris for making me this special card....without a doubt.......It will be making a front and center spot on my studio upper cabinet to be proudly displayed for all to see when they walk into my studio.
Hope you can join me tomorrow when I'll be sharing with you the cards my "FU" (Fabulously UnLimited) group made on Wednesday during our March gathering. I am thrilled to be connected with these three VERY TALENTED LADIES and not only do we make some AMAZING cards - but we have a FABULOUSLY FUN TIME together. Keep Living Your Dream!

Cards from Kathie and Jan

Happy Wednesday my Blogger Friends and Welcome Back. Today I'll be sharing two cards I received from my Stampin Friend Kathie and my BFF Jan. Let's get right into it..... Here are the two cards I received.......
First up is the card I received from Kathie. HOW LOVELY is this card. It's a card that has an amazing fold to it. Kathie placed a darlin flower in the center of the circle and used that for her focal point. It seriously is a beautiful flower and has lots of shimmer and bling to it. The card then folds up around the circle to reveal the inside of the card - where Kathie wrote me the most AMAZING message on the inside of her card. LOVE LOVE LOVE the emobssing folder that Kathie used for the front of her card....and PINK Bling that Kathie added to the center of six of the flowers really gave her card a special little WOW.
Here's a close-up of that beautiful prima flower that Kathie Glammed Up!
Next up is a Thank You card my BFF made for me. She created her own DSP by stamping the label image all over her glossy cardstock.......Added a different colored label imge as her focal point for her card and then began adding the detail pieces to her card (as only Jan can do).........
Check this detail out......Jan threaded ribbon through her lace and added a lovely blue stick pin to the ribbon and lace. WOW.....I know that I fight Jan over the Vintage look - and she keeps telling me that she's going to take me into the vintage/shabby chic world kicking and screaming - but seriously......many more cards like this and I won't be putting up such a fight. Thanks Jan for sending me this lovely lovely card.
Well....today is weigh in day at Weight Watchers and I'll be posting my weigh in tomorrow morning for you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I was able to stay on task this past week (even with eating out twice and doing the Tucson convention and playing several days with my girlfriends.......Does it sound like I'm preparing myself for some bad news?) Hope to see you tomorrow and remember ........ Keep Living Your Dream!

Cards from Debbie & Gail

Welcome Back Blogger Friends and Happy Tuesday to you. Today I will be sharing three cards I received from my Stamping Friends Debbie and Gail.....Let's get started..... Here are the three ADORABLE cards I received from Debbie and Gail this past week.
First up is the darling bunny card from Debbie. The fold was so adorable because it folded up and over at the scallop circle. I love how Debbie embossed the green cardstock and the little bunny is cute enough to eat up. I think my favorite part of this card is the yummy ribbon that Debbie used.....LOVE IT!
Next up is the card that Gail sent to me. How beautiful is this card. Her embossed swiss dot white background sets the stage for an ELEGANT yet FUN card that just screams HAPPY. She used the SU Petal punch and Lots of layers from the Boho Blossom punch. This card just made me smile when I opened it up.
And my last card share is other card I received from Debbie this past Friday before we went off to the Farmers Market. I found out after she handed me the card that she had NO IDEA my favorite color is Pink. I immediately FELL in LOVE with this card.
Thank you Debbie and Gail for the amazing cards you sent me.......I treasure our friendship and will be placing both of these cards up on my upper cabinet in my studio.
Please stop back tomorrow when I'll be sharing two cards I received from Jan and Kathie.....Hope to see you back here tomorrow......Keep Living Your Dream!
